So...question now is when will it be released to the public (or leaked) and whether the report draws any significant conclusions...or is a non-event.

This should be an interesting weekend.

I fully suspect Barr will release little (Trump would not have supported him without some sort reassurance).

Will have to see what leaks and what congress does about it.

Be also interesting to see what trump's blabs about this weekend on Twitter. He knows of any charges against him I'm sure or will.

Anybody taking bets there was no proof of collusion by Trump?
As much as I believe Trump conspired or engaged in tit-for-tat, sufficient evidence is a 50-50 proposition at this point.

There's a lot of Mueller's findings we don't yet know. The size of the iceberg is proportional to the quantity of tips revealed. There are many indictments, convictions and plea-bargains already. Some of the pundits argue logically that too much already points to Trump. Some argue there may be insufficient evidence. Sufficient evidence has to overwhelm the bias protecting the innocent, even a presidential Innocent.

There's nothing left to do but wait. And then there's nothing left to do but continue to wait for the House investigating committees. To borrow from Pacino's Col. Frank Slade: "They're jus' gettin' warmed up!"

What bothers me more than anything at this moment is that Trump and his Base are asserting that career law enforcement should have no right to enforce the law because "they weren't elected". These people have contempt for elections. They relish not winning the popular vote, and they plan on doing it again without the popular vote. And they believe that their win is our loss, which we somehow deserve.

So that all conforms with their idea that reality is what the winners want it to be, and that the Law is subordinate to the power in charge.

I'll make 2 good predictions..

There won't be a real report till the next administration just like there wasn't one on the JFK assassination till the next administration.

And people who live in an alternative reality will still believe crazy stuff 50 years later.

I can already see everyone in P&N frothing at the mouth.

I'm excited to see how much of let down it is for everyone that thinks it's going to be some giant damning report.

Predictions about what's in it are unwise for anybody.

I thought I heard Blitzer reading from some letter on CNN--only heard a bit of audio so had no idea what he was reading, but sounded like a letter from Barr to House Judiciary Committee where Barr was committing to a full release of the report. I have no idea whether that was written today after Barr received the report, or whether that was earlier.

If we get a full release of the report, then that means there is nothing super damaging to Trump personally and he will feel vindicated. Junior mint will go apeshit on Twitter. But...investigations will likely continue within FBI/DoJ, SDNY/other states and within the House.

SDNY is the most real peril. He's not Individual-1 for nothing.

I think this is the most likely scenario in the likely state that there is no smoking gun in the report.

No more indictments. Sealed or otherwise. The narrative is set. One side will point to the underlying behaviour. The other vindication.
