What's wrong with a little historical accuracy? Men had rape for dinner, it was just the way things were done back then.
weeds is not even CLOSE to being one of the best TV shows.
it was entertaining the first few seasons, but the past 3 seasons are complete shit and they are getting progressively worse.
i only watch it now because i have invested a lot into the show, and it is only like 25 minutes per episode so its not much time wasted.
the show is aboslutely fucking terrible now though and has NOTHING to do with the original premise of the show.
Just wanted to comment on this and say I completely agree. Weeds has been shit since somewhere after/during season3. Not sure what happened but it used to be a good show.
As to Spartacus I really don't care for it but others do, works for me.
Spartacus started out so fucking unbelievable stupid. but in the end of last season it really picked up.
the acting is terrible, the dialog is terrible, the effects are terrible, the scenes and costumes are terrible, the fighting is terrible ... but something about this show has a B level quality to it that I really enjoyed.
i have the first 2 eps of this season at home but haven't watched them yet. will get around to it this weekend and catch up on ep3 probably as well.
I haven't watched it, WTF are they? I figured Spartacus and Spartans go hand in hand.
i saw 15 minutes of this show over the span of two episodes i think. during those 15 minutes Gannicus, while blindfolded, slowly but partially decapitated his opponent on a sword that was stuck in a block of stone or wood. in the other episode he was forced to do the nasty with his buddy's wife.
this show is awesome.
yeah, basically this.
and it's jsut a 2 episode "prequel" mini series. seems the 2nd season is still up in teh air
Dominus: "And once again the Gods insert cocks into ass!!!!" Ha ha ha, love the show.
There are 6 episodes for the prequel. Episode 3 just aired, and there are 3 more to go.
I loved the red-head mom chick from Rom, I could watch her taking a bath all day.
Marc Antony's penis, not needed...
AFAIK, Spartacus and Crixus are the only individuals known to have existed in this series, everything else--including who Spartacus really was, and Batiatus as well, I believe--is fabricated for the sake of story.
This is a show I always wanted to catch up on.
Does it make more sense to watch Blood and Sand first or start with Gods of the Arena now?
Id start with season 1 and then watch the current prequel. So far its interesting back story on certain characters.
I love the show personally (other then season 1 pilot which was horrible). I just love the back stabbing, deceiving, caniving going on...great story![]()
Except, unlike the murdered victim in a snuff film, no one's rights have been violated. Besides, there's already "Faces of Death", various war documentaries and plenty of other ways for you see real gore and murder on TV anyway.

Spartacus is great. Every TV series should have a man drink wine from a woman's breast when they celebrate.
