R.I.P I hope the terrorists get what is coming to them. This BS has gone on long enough. Lke someone mentioned before, won't all of these killings eventually just enrage the rest of world?

We need to do what the Russians did in Lybia (I believe it was) quite some time ago. Find out who's doing the kidnapping and then go pick up a few of their family members and kill them. Cruel, but effective.
If the U.S. does this, then in some sense, the beheadings are justified in the Terrorists mind. (i.e. The U.S. are Terrorists themselves).
What needs to happen is the self-realization (by terrorists) that they are doing wrong. Their religious basis for the attacks are wrong. Killing their families would only fuel their misguided agendas and most likely, increase beheadings. This essentially means more terrorist attacks both on foreign and domestic fronts.

Koreans tend to have a different outlook on things like this then most western countries, from what I've gathered from people that have been stationed there or fought in the Korean war. I'm guessing that the death of an individual is not going to have the kind of impact on government policy, or even public opinion as it would in many western countries.
For example, a story I heard recently ... Koreans fought with us in the Vietnam war. The Viet Cong quickly learned not to lob mortars into bases where korean troops were stationed. While US forces would go out and try to find the guys who was responsible, the koreans would just go out and kill anything that moved within about a 5 mile radius.

This is true to some degree. I heard that the Korean troops in Vietnam were ruthless to the Viet Congs. They would torture them and execute them mercilessly.
I don't know if they would do that again due to the different nature of the war but those terrorists rattled the bee hive for sure.

Will this set the resolve of the Koreans to sort this carp out, or will they fold like the Spanish.
they will do as the spanish
i think only the US will take on these animals, all other nations will attempt to appease them
You make it seem like the Koreans are cowards if they pull out...because they are trying to "appease" them. Other countries do not have the resources that the US enjoys. It's not that easy to send your troops into harm's way for a fight that is not your own.
And if you read the article, it says they are sending 3000 troops regardless.

Please don't confuse a religion with those who are over-zealous enough to think they are best fit to represent it.

Yeah, I've got to agree there. These terrorists have about as much to do with Islam as Abortion clinic bombers have to do with Catholicism.

I don't remember seeing thousands and thousands of catholics marching in the street celebrating the Paul Hill murder.
EDIT: Let me clarify before anyone misunderstands. I am NOT saying all muslims are terrorists. Only that the problem is far more than just a few extremists. It is also the millions of other muslims who agree with these terrorists.

Care to show an example of the outraged muslims marching in the streets?
You will find a few muslim leaders expressing outrage, but not many. The fact is that after 9/11, the majority of muslims in the middle east were dancing in the streets and celebrating, NOT mourning or protesting or speaking out about how evil the act was. Even if most of them are not actively participating, the number of muslims, especially in the middle east, that support groups like Al Qaeda is FAR FAR more than just a few over-zealous extremists.

Very sad... The guy was begging for his life a few days ago.. The horrors of what he must have went through those last few minutes are unspeakable.
It's clear that we are dealing with psychotic sociopaths that have no regard for human life. Therefore, the only effective way to deal with these bloodthirsty nutcases is to wipe them out.
My thoughts exactly.
Sweet, all we have to do is go into Iraq and weed out their entire population, separating the nice Iraqis from the mean terrorists. Then we rinse and repeat in all the Muslim countries around the world.
Bwahahaha.
EDIT: Wait, forgot we have to screen all the Muslims in non-Muslim countries too. After that, if we have time, we can go after all the McVeighs, Nichols, and other non-Muslim terrorists.
Well too freaking bad. We are at WAR with terrorist forces that are united in their desire to kill as many Americans and westerners as possible. 3500+ and counting, beheading innocent civilians after making demands that they KNOW won't be met. What do you propose? We sit on our asses and let them determine what happens? Put the ball in their hands and see what they do next? I don't think so. Our only course of action is to continue hunting them down and killing them. We can't say for sure that another tradegy like 9/11 won't happen, but it is our duty to try to prevent it from happening. Better than sitting around feeling sorry for these scumbags.

I'm sure the ones you saw on sensationalizing US TV were celebrating.
