Both sides do that. Google "creeping liberalism". Who would have thought banning Bible Study would one day mean that valedictorians mentioning G-d would be dragged off high school stages? Those who banned Bible Study, of course.

Basic Sun-Tzu, dude. Strike where your enemy is weak and use misdirection.

A valedictorian was denied to right to mention god and the role religion played in his/her life? That sounds like overreaching to me. If she wanted to lead the assembly in a prayer to her god, that's something else.

Valedictorians are quite often denied the right to mention G-d in their speeches, although usually they do not go ahead and then get dragged off stage. I'm aware of that happening only once (requires two really stubborn people) but many if not most schools have a fear of offending and being sued by the ACLU over this issue.

The best was the girl who simply stood on stage, then the entire graduating student body sneezed as one. She simply said "G-d bless you" and walked off stage.

Ha, lame. If she truly believes then she should've taken a stand and said it straight up. God don't want no scrubs 🙂

Back to the OP. 3 days, no biggie. Is this somehow considered a win for people against abortion?

From what I've seen it's only when the kid wants to get all christy that they start forcing it back. I don't think someone who wants to merely mention that god or their faith played a role in their development would be denied. However, repeated references to Jesus, or His Everlasting Love, or even a dropping God 7 or 8 times and you start pushing it into the realm of preaching. Also seems the fed cts are less permissive on this than state courts.

Also looks like after getting their speech pre-approved, some kids go off the reservation and get the mic pulled as a result.

My only problem with abortion is the men almost never get any say. If I knock some chick up and I want to keep the kid, I don't want her running off and aborting it. To me that's the only thing wrong with it. People should be more responsible when it comes to sex and keep abortion as a last option, but whatever abort away.

We humans have been aborting fetuses since before a single person had the concept of heaven or hell. We had to, babies are resource and time expensive, life up until recently has been quite fucking hard.

Her body. Why should we be able to force her? We can try to persuade her, but that's it.

So if you wanted to keep the kid and she absolutely did NOT want to have your child, you'd force her to do so if you could?

I'd never force anyone to do anything, but I'd probably never speak a single word to the woman ever again. Like I said in the post right above yours, I don't think it should be outlawed just because of my hang up with that aspect of it.

I'm all for this if....
The guy has to also wait a full three days before he slips in the ole salami.
Would kinda take care of the whole problem in the first place. Ya thinkest?

Ps. I have a better idea..
Lets have a full three day waiting period before we pull the voting lever for a republican.
That might solve a lot of issues too... Especially the issue called BUYER'S REMORSE.

This all hinges were you decide life begins. There is no compromise. You won't change anyones mind.

For some it's not woman's choice, and is akin to killing a toddler, they vary from 0-6 months where they think it's still a glob of cells and it's still ok to absolutly no.

For others life begins when cord is cut and until then it's womans choice and between her and her doctor.

3 days doesn't sound like a really long time to think over whether you want to kill your baby or not, does it? Are we really in that much of a hurry to get back to f@*king that we can't wait a few days?

You are 100% correct, it's really a stupid argument. Which is why I made my post. I expect it to convince nobody of anything. Either it's a blob of cells with as much value as my morning post-coffee dump or it's a human and it's being murdered.
