Some of you liberal twats on this forum are just spoiled pricks. Some are great though and I'd prefer to talk to them than the idiots who just call people names. I don't think like you pieces of shit, just because we disagree doesn't mean I think you're a moron.

I came here because I like to defend my ideas in places where there is a lot of people who disagree with me. Instead I have to defend myself from name calling and all the rest. If you treat me with respect I'll treat you with respect.

Someone, the OP...?, needs to re title this thread to read
"some polls now show Romney getting head"
WTF?
This is why I LOVE and prefer multiple threads for the same subject, rather than just one HUGE LONG thread with 199999 pages of posts.
The original thought has usually deteriorated within about 5 pages.

""Some polls now have Romney ahead.""

And now at page 7 we're getting instructions on how to do the best bj ?

I say FUC@... FUC@ to the "duplicate post" patrols.
LET THE DUPLICATE THREADS LIVE !!!!!!

this is all hilarious:

Obama ahead: funny numbers! issues with polling! librul conspiracy! eggheads don't know anything!
Romney leading: the country has spoken!

and it goes on and on. I think that's a valid summary of the entirety of buckshot's contributions to ATP&N (excepting the post where he responded to my accusation of his being a White Sox fan)

I don't have a problem with the math, the numbers (data) it is using may or may not represent reality however.

Less and less people are willing to respond to pollsters now. With less people responding the pollsters have to figure out why people aren't responding and who these people are. Are they people who would favor Romney more or Obama? Gallup changed their techniques in the middle of the election cycle.

Polls do not account for enthusiasm either. The polls indicate Republican voters are much more enthusiastic than they were in 2008 while Dem enthusiasm is down.

Also in Ohio Republican Absentee requests are way up over 2008.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/ohio-...-boosting-romney/article/2509838#.UH1t8cXA_h4

There's also the cell phone issue. Some pollsters still do not call cellphones. And there's the issue of Spanish speaking voters, who are obviously under-participating because they don't understand the questions. Both factors would favor the dem if corrected. It's possible that these various "errors" tend to blend and cancel either each other out. Polling averages were pretty accurate in '08 and '10. It's doubtful that polling has become significantly less accurate in this short a period of time. We shall see.

Oh, BTW... We early voted in person yesterday. And as usual checked marked straight democratic ticket. The ONLY way to fly, with out getting arrested.... :D
Give Obama 2012, and Romney can buy 2016, or 2020, or 2024, or 2028.
Im sure he is already setting his nickels aside for that very thought.

I haven't posted any such liberal bias accusations with the polls. I haven't commented on "eggheads" either. Given the data 538 has at his disposal the math is what it is. Not in dispute.

I don't believe polls simply because Romney is ahead. I do however look at the internals of the polls to see what is really going on. Such as that ABC poll that came out and Obama is up 3. They have a +9 point sampling of Democrats vs Republicans in it. If that is the gap come election day then Romney is toast but it doesn't make any sense that this is going to happen for numerous reasons that haven't been disputed here.

Two out of four of your characterizations of my posts are simply false. The other two are explained why I feel the way I do about them.

Do you have the single option to vote straight ticket or do you have to vote each race? I like to see the names I am voting against so I don't use the single option.:p

Bullshit. I feel sorry for her that she is enslaved by entitlements. I'd treat her with more respect than the Democrats would. What they do doesn't really help her, it makes her more comfortable in her poverty which helps keep her there.

I'm not making any absolute statements one way or the other about the polling. I'm saying that the way polling companies are getting in touch with voters has changed. Does this change introduce a bias one way or another? Perhaps.

That's a powerful lack of insight there.

And it doesn't really elaborate at all on your opinion of 538 or Nate's work.

Ok, I don't have a problem with Nate's work. If I had to make a prediction based solely upon the data then it would most likely be similar to 538.

Personally, I think the polls are under reporting Romney support.

Why do you have that opinion though?

It could certainly be the case, but I don't see anything to point towards that. Polling companies lose customers of their data if they can't maintain a reasonable level of accuracy, so it's hardly in their interests to publish bunk numbers.

STOP! Just stop. This is the one thing I actually find interesting yet you never back it up! Is it an emotional reaction to him losing or is there something out there that backs this up?

Polls using historical data might not be to your liking but it's better than them making shit up right? Come election day we might find that Obama is indicted for treason and Romney is a serial rapist so a 3rd party wins but for now we have to go with actual facts.

Here are some numbers:

Only 73 percent who support Obama say they are “extremely likely” to vote, compared to 86 percent who back Romney. Likewise, 84 percent of Republicans say they are extremely likely to vote, compared to 76 percent of Democrats.

Among those extremely likely to vote, Romney actually leads Obama 52 percent to 46 percent. That’s up from a 2-point lead last week. Obama led 50 percent to 47 percent among this group three weeks ago.

Looks like they're factoring it in for you.

This. Self-delusion on both sides of the political spectrum, but particularly the right, never ceases to amaze me.
