Well if you were to every run across hard Core Junkies, Crack Heads and especially hard core Meth Users then you would understand what he means about "Human Wastes"

No, human waste would be people who are satisfied to go along with the status quo, work their stupid little job and go home to their stupid little house in their stupid suv and watch their stupid sitcoms and think that their boring lifestyle makes them somehow superior to people who like to actually live their lives, instead of spending it slaving for someone else, just so they can buy stupid meaningless sh!t and save enough to afford their mindless drone kids a higher indoctrination degree..

of course i have a feeling im talking about probabbly 90% of the people here. i feel sorry for you guys, seriously.
OK.. so tell us Oh enlightened one, what is it you do that makes you so superior to those you condemn? As you high when you do it?

Well you have to grow up sometime.🙂

Ones worth in modern society is predicated on what the can provide for others, sitting around the house all day listening to "babalon by bus" with a big fat dubbie is'nt really what I'd call living the life either. It's about balance.🙂

You mean sitting around the house all day getting stoned and watching Shrek isn't being productive?😉

I never said these people represented the majority of the Democratic Party. They are a fringe group of nutjobs. You say know your enemy. Well I think that's the problem, Republicans and Democrats often view each other as the enemy. I'd wager a lot of that hatred being vented about Reagan has more to do with berating a Republican Icon that it does the man. You see it on both sides all the time whether it be Republicans bashing Clinton or Kennedy or Democrats bashing the Dub or Reagan.

I imagine I do a lot of the same things you do, save for going home in an SUV and watching sitcoms. I have a stupid little job and a stupid little home in a stupid little town full of stupid little worker bees. However, I have this little problem. I like to think. I like to speak my mind. I like to do whatever the hell I please with my body and my property. I like to get together with likeminded people. Apparently these things are anti-american in this day in age, and make me human waste.

Because I won't buy into the consumer mindset, because I like to take drugs on the weekends and do incredibly harmful stuff while I'm on them (like going out dancing, making music, or playing video games), because I stand up and say what a lof of people won't just because it goes against the status quo (that ronald reagan was a horrible president and certainly doesnt deserve a month of mourning), because of these things I'm human waste.

I'd like to know what it is about being a status quo worker drone that makes you somehow superior? Strength in numbers? Tell that to Al-Qaida.

It has nothing to do with him being a republican. He could have been a democrat and I'd say the same things about him. He was a horrible president.

True, but you would think that at someone's death people could step back from the pit of partisanship and pay that person the respect they deserve. I will be the first to admit that I don't think much of Bill Clinton but I would never act the way the people in the link I posted are. The man was President and the nation should be saddened and pay him the respect he deserves when his time comes. The same is true for any former President. It's all about respect for the office they held. Sadly many on both sides don't understand the concept of respect anymore.

I'm just sick of all the mindless fighting. My two great loves academically are history and politics. Sadly history is now taught by know nothing coaches in high school so by the time kids get out of school they know very little about history and rarely care to learn anything about it. Equally sad is the way politics spends 99% of it's time in the mud now. Gone are the days of the true political greats like Jefferson, Paine, Henry Clay, etc....

I'm sorry, but I hold no respect for any man who corrupts the office you claim to hold in such high esteem in the manner that Ronald Reagan did. We're talking about a guy who conveniently 'forgot' the answers to questions over 100 times while under oath. We're talking about a guy who played high-stakes chicken with a nuclear superpower when the already established plan of deterrence was working just fine. We're talking about a man who dabbled in the affairs of other countries and used our military to shed blood unnecessarily in South America for no apparent reason. We're talking about a man who bankrupted the nation while giving tax cuts to his rich friends and pulling the plug on as many social service programs as he could get his grimy little hands on.

The man was a low down son of a bitch and the only thing more pathetic than the way he died is the way he lived.

I certainly wouldn't call Bush and Limbaugh free thinkers.

In the words of the Great Communicator "Well there you go again"

Comparing him to Pol Pot and Hitler is absurd. I think a more apt comparison would be to any leader of a powerful nation and most if not all American Presidents. In fact the American President who has more blood of innocents than any other is probably Lincoln and he is revered in America.

I agree that Lincoln gets far more credit than he's deserved as well.

The comparison is valid unless you want to talk pure numbers. No, Reagan wasn't responsible for 6 million dead, obviously. However, The death toll in El Salvador is estimated at around 70k. I wont even begin to speculate on the contra war in Nicaragua, the political dissapearances in Honduras, or the people killed in the resurgence of political violence in Guatemala.

The Historical Clarification Commission released a report with damning evidence of human rights offenses during the South America conflicts, estimating that the entire 34 year conflict claimed the lives of some 200,000 people with most of the violence occuring during the 1980s.

It makes me sick that our country conveniently forgets about or moves past these types of things when we're responsible, while using them as justification to stick our nose in other countries business whenever we get the itch. Its not like this is something that happened very long ago. This happened during most of our lifetimes and I'm willing to bet most in here don't even know about it. You certainly won't find it in any high school history books.

I could go on and on about this man but I'll spare you all since if you really want to find out, you can google it yourself. I'll just end on this note: Reagan's legacy should not be one that is celebrated, at least not without serious consideration for the misdeeds that he and members of his administration were involved in. That is why people like me are doing the distasteful deed of speaking badly about the dead. I don't enjoy it, but I wouldn't feel the need to if the facts about this man were common knowledge. Once again, our country is in the process of glossing over an ugly blemish in our history. It's easy to just remember the good things, but life isn't supposed to be easy, and as a citizen of this country I think it is everyone's duty to face the good with the bad.

OK, now back to your flaming boys!🙂

Red, I always assume people here are bright enough to realize that when one mentions Drugs, and the war on drugs they are referring to that which is illegal, personally while technically considered such I don't equate alcohol with "the war on drugs" and have nothing against those who heartily consume....however in response to Zebo, weed is a waste of time and money and last I checked still considered an illegal substance, thus fitting...however I was mainly referring to more hard core drugs such as coke, acid, smack and what not.

So people should be free to shoot up with smack and other illegal drugs, become a burden to our allready overreaching social systems and plague healthcare which only burdens those who lead the stupid little lives..right. Having known more than a few hard core drug addicts I can only say I wish more was done to stop this crap from being sold.

Well,

They have that right to think what they think and get away with it because this is the United States...

If you want to take away their right to say whatever they want to say you are unamerican. To call them names and to say they dont even resemble in the slighest a human being is your right, just don't let it be taken to the extremes. The posters in that forum are celebrating in their own way, whether it be right or wrong they are not breaking any laws... And for someone like Alchemize to say

"The folks cheering Reagan's death. Cuba. Libya. The Democrats.
Forward this to all your friends. It is important that we see the face off what this party has become."

That is very ignorant of you, I know many democrats that respected Reagan, and to say those people in that forum represent the entire democratic party is absurd.

I don't recall anyone questioning their "right" to speak freely. They are speaking freely, and thus exhibiting what kind of people they really are.

why not? trying to justify your habits? and I would most certainly call anyone with a drug or alcohol problem that....don't get me wrong I have no problem with those who like a few beers, some nice wine or whisky or a few social drinks, but those that have a real problem should seek help instead of just letting it fester until they do become a waste of space.

They become are a burden when we intern them don't you think? I've read each prisoner costs the Ca tax payer 85,000!! Then we have to count the crime and property loss they are commiting to get the high priced drugs, the costs on society and inner city with drug lord crimes and murder, and the cost to the courts and enforcement arms of government. i donno seems like a waste of money. You know drugs were legal until prohibition right? It was then the puritanicals took over this country and made it illegal anlong with alcohol. They nannied prostitution too. I laugh when I hear GW and americans talk about "freedom". It's not freedom when the state tells someone what they can do with thier own body.

Not to mention the many who voted for him. "Reagan Democrats" ring a bell?

And BTW, the conservatives and Republicans out there should keep this thread in mind when one of the lions of the left falls. I have no doubt we'll see some gloating threads after Ted Kennedy and folks of his stripe start passing away.

You make a good point, but Reagan and Kennedy are not even remotely commensurate in words or deeds. Ted Kennedy is a worthless sack of pig excrement. It's really sad that his brothers are no longer with us. Were they, Teddy's equine visage likely wouldn't grace the screen with as the frequency it now does. From fear of embarrassment they would hide him in the closet.

The decisions the president makes result in life for some and death for others, and to think that someone put in that spot should be afforded the same sympathies as the average human being is ridiculous. When you take the job of president you become an object. I say this because you make such long-lasting choices which affect so many people that inevitably you're going to end up f-ing up millions of lives.

Ronald Reagan took that job and made decisions to bomb certain countries which some say resulted in senseless innocent deaths (those people who died were just as human as Reagan), and those decisions resulted in a change of course for an entire nation. No offense but to think that people should not be happy when a person who they think ruined their great nation dies is foolish.

I am extremely happy that Richard Nixon is dead. I wish it had been a longer and more painful death, to be honest. He killed thousands of people with his choices, and screwed over millions of Americans. Because I feel this way about him I don't get angry about those who feel the same about Reagan, because we all view history differently.

And for the record I don't know enough about Reagan to judge him.. it may sound like I hate him in the second paragraph but I was only showing the view of these people.

Just exactly how did he kill "thousands of people with his choices"?
