I've got pretty thick skin when it comes to myself. Flame me all you want, I've probably heard it before. But all the hate that goes on around here is just getting out of control.

And now this place is getting flooded with anti-religion posts. I mean there is normally one or two going on but now its all the time. I'm very spiritual but I also realize that not everyone shares my views. That's fine. But why insult things that are Holy to us that are spiritual? Does it somehow make you feel better about yourself? What exactly do you get out of it?

While I do like it here, I don't like being insulted every time I log in.
 
The thing about spirituality is that I'm not even sure what it really is. I think of it as a sort of mental connection with that which is not real.
 
rudeguy, why don't you just not care what they say? If I were to say something like "haha I don't believe in some bullshit skyfairy" you shouldn't even care. Stop worrying about what other people do.

I hate this place. At least the OT section. The only reason I post here is because the root domain is fairly innocuous and it passes the time when I've got nothing going at work. People are mean. Hurtful, negative, arrogant; some of the worst qualities I can imagine in anyone I read in posts here on a daily basis.

Anonymity is poisonous in the hands of angst-ridden shut-ins. In short, don't let em get to ya.

If you notice, this forum tends to have more liberal posters. Liberals claim to be about tolerance and understanding, but they are quick to bash, ridicule, and make fun of anyone that doesn't believe what they believe.
It's odd to say, but if you want more mature posters, go to the [H].

I can definately see a downward slide of postings here since I joined. A lot of it seems to be spill over from P&N. Honestly, I think I noticed the change in quality of postings here when the mods went from anonymous to being known. For some reason it gave certain people carte blanche to act like complete dicks.

You should have made cryptic jokes about the moral laxity of certain members' mothers & wives (stay away from daughters), or some other sort of call out. You lack a sense of irony and fun that keeps people here. You are too literal, and have foibles that are much too obvious to us.

I suggest to ask the mods to allow you end your account and then rejoin. Promise that you will be good, but troll the fuck out of those who have antagonized you.

And don't admit to drunk driving ...
