I own a software company based out of Seattle. At age 17 I was living in a 3 story house. Most of you are still living with mom and dad. Big accomplishment there, super high five.

We were simply have a bit of fun with this kid, and yeah, we all have fun in our own ways. If you children took our claims of super computer intelligence seriously, you're just as sad as the kid we ganged up on. For a tech forum, you all arn't the sharpest tools in the shed.

Just so we're clear though, he was listed, we did call him, and he stopped. The threats to call his school were not to give us our jollies, it was to frighten him into stopping his actions. Whether or not you think it's "cool" is irrelivant, it stopped him flat in his tracks.

Reading through these posts, this thread is about the same level of intelligence as you'd find on my own forums, yet we claim to be completly idiotic, where as you all claim to be "smart". Totally proved it here, I'm humbled by the size of your e-penis's.

Obviously it's impossible to track someones addy by their IP address, but you genius's saw clear through that, way to go, you're smarter than the 13 year old... who took us seriously. I think that was the point. The steps we took were insanly simple. Furthermore, if you all would take your elitest heads out of your asses, you'd maybe see the underlying humor in all of this. It was more a message to spoiled brats, I'm sure you all can relate to dealing with those. The message got through. It's one thing to criticize our course of action, it's another thing to personally attack an entire group of people for no reason. Talk about biggotry. So much for the intelligence here.

I'm sorry but when ANAND was your age (IIRC he is pretty close) he was 10 times more mature than you are. You seriously need to grow up, you stooped to the level of this kid and I seriously think that is sad. You run a game server and nothing else (unless you can prove you've also made a site that is half as useful as your "gaming server"). Running a "gaming server site" is nothing special, your just one of millions of CS servers that happen to have a page dedicated to the gaming server.

I hear on the one hand that you "spend your money and donate your time for your organization" and then I hear that you were in a 3 story house at the age of 17. How are you making money? Advertising revenue? If it's advertising revenue then I wouldn't say it's YOUR money but the "site's money" because your the leader! And the leader and his minions must not be selfish and need to donate their belongings for "the site" (cult). You try to act mature and yet the title of your site is "whutdufuk.com" WTF!? Having a domain name like that already shows that your quite immature, please don't bother with trying to be mature because just the name of your site shows that your clearly NOT.

What exactly is the dumb thing that we did here? Some punk got banned from our servers so he started spamming our forums. We banned him from our forums so he returned under a new name and IP and continued spamming through several more bans while flinging wild threats about. So we just got fed up and tracked him down and ?I? called his parents (mother to be exact). We have not heard from him since and are now laughing about how the ?mighty? have fallen. But the way you guys put it we have obviously done something incredibly stupid here so please, enlighten us. Better yet how about you tell us a better way to get rid of the kid while teaching him a sound lesson.

how about just banning the IP range? that woudl have been fine

im in a community that runs CS/CZ/CS:S/COD, they have an actual clan team for each game as well within the community, 2 of each has admin on the servers, and i have to say out of all the servers i've seen they run the place very well and fairly, even the banned people rarely come back to give grief as they know it was their fault...
simple rules...

spray porn = permanent ban (they have kiddies on server sometimes)

swear/abuse of others before 11pmish = kick, then on repeat, 5 min ban, 1 day ban, 1 week ban, perm ban

swear after 11pm = nothing if just swearing, but abuse of others = kick, 5 min ban, 1 day ban, 1 week, perm ban.

hack = perm ban plus demo sent to Steambans group

dodgy map exploit = kick, 5 min ban, 1 day ban, 1 week ban

otherwise they are quite relaxed guys...lol

seriously tho, its a massively fun community that attracts people to its servers (one public for each game incl a 32 player CS:S and a few password protected match servers)from all over the world..

forgot to mention, min age for joining community is 18, altho they do run a Juniors section for the kids of the members who play, one of our CS:S Clan players, Soul has an 8 year that kills better than most 20+ can..lol). Clan members are only taken from Community, not outside.....i would say average age in there is about 30, so its not a bunch of idiots running around.....just some old codgers...lol
