External Cendyne 52X is $29 and 48X is $19. I/O Magic 48X is $19.

Yesterday I went to the Brooklyn Center, MN store and they had two USB 2.0 Cendyne cdrw drives, model number was LTR****, so I'm assuming it's Lite-On? $30 each. They also had a couple of internal cdrw's available, $20 each. Didn't look at model number though.

Not all of them oslama. The 1st one I picked up (that I've since exchanged for a Lite-On) was an Asus based on the model number.Originally posted by: oslama
The external cendyne 52s are liteons.

Not to crap on your post but... It might just be "your" monitor and not all the NEC monitor's. I've got two friends who bought these same monitors at Staples last year and they do a lot of text processing. Sharp from corner to corner, so it would appear with this small sample that your's may have varied from norm
