2 is better than 1? Its obvious he has the money to use for 2 lawyers..so better to be safe than sorry i guess.

If i ever get married i am getting a prenup..women are crazy beyond belief.

being he is living in his parents house and states he hates it, I don't think he really has the money.

short term lease son...much cheaper than hiring an attorney.

check y0self.

check yourself idiot... the dude said his parents lived about 6 houses down and he wanted to be near his kids. Why would he go and find a 3 month lease somewhere else in addition to paying for a new house as well as fixing it up or whatever was going on.

dude just stop. You obviously don't understand the argument you are in. Why hire 2 lawyers? Seriously.

I am thinking he hired one though and they just have some junior working the case. Around here it's about $10k to just retain an attorney for a divorce. If it goes to court you will pay more like $20k.

I can lease a fuck of an apartment for $1000 a month and drive to see my kids....

Is there more of an update than that? DETAILS!

Honestly, I'm surprised this didn't end up with her dead and you in jail. Good lord, I would be so unbelievably pissed, shocked and dumbfounded.... I dunno. Scary.

Edit: Oops, didn't see the update on 1-18-10

I'm so glad the house and everything is yours. That makes me smile. A lot. Knowing that her plan backfired and you get to keep everything must be about the best feeling in the world.

This. Don't be a nice guy here -- she is out to screw you and you have to take the offensive now.

+1 to this.

She totally wanted to screw you, so why hold back?

Get custody of children so she has nothing to claim for you.
Go see a lawyer.

The reason why she doesnt is probably because she cant afford one.
Well for you its money thats gonna be lost anyhow.. so go see a lawyer.

I agree with almost everyone here.. If someone tried to pull this on me, they would become my mortal enemy and I would hit them with every ounce of my soul.

Kids complicate matters, but yeah. She tried to fuck you, hard and visciously. I would do the same in return, and hope and pray that the judge would see the whole picture and nail her ass to the wall.
