Not quite. I guess if you're not educated in critical thinking you can't tell the difference, so i'll try to explain them to you.
What he did was called the fallacy of Hasty Generalization. Just because he doesn't know people who do not believe in tectonic plates, does not mean everybody believes in tectonic plates. What you're attributing to me is entirely incorrect, and is a fallacy yourself... it is the fallacy of Burden of Proof. Just because i haven't seen it, doesn't mean it has to exist. I've NEVER used that argument.
