Should ask her what wine she prefers or likes. As for the trip, why? 2 months together, you should be just fine.
Yep, if you're both 18 or older and you've been together 2 months, sure, take a weekend trip.

Thumper and I did that about 6 weeks after we started dating, we drove from Dallas down to Galivastan for the weekend... :D

SINNER!!

I'd love to go to confession, but I'd have to say "you first" to the Priest!

Any thoughts?

argument?

different work schedules?

GF won't drink beer?

man - this doesn't sound like a real passionate relationship..
i wouldn't get my hopes up to high.....

you sure you want to spend >48 hours with someone at this "stage" of your "relationship"?

my advice - save the "getaway weekend" for someone you have an "established" relationship with. this sounds like a situation fraught with anxiety and expectations. under these circumstances it's possible to end up with one or both parties getting their feelings hurt.

She never drank before so I think wine will go easier with dinner than other hard drinks.

yes it will, actually, it will only enhance the dinner more! If she has never really drank before(which you said), go with a fruity blush wine, or white wine, unless you are getting steak or beef, then go with a sweet, but not too dry red.

I should be very afraid of you. :p

WHY??

I'm just joking around. Someone is just a little more advanced in their alcohol than I am. :D

Though this is a tech board, the off topic forum is much more. It's a community.... if you haven't noticed, not much on this board is about "tech topics"...

Hey man it may be a tech board but you have people in relationships here. Some married so they obviously know things about dating and such.

I say if you think the relationship can take it go for it. Just don't try and force it or you will fall flat on your face and argue or have pressures the whole weekend.

As for no sex for 2 months thats no problem you decide how to take it.

As for wine I know jack not a drinker myself.

ok let me clarify,

man - this doesn't sound like a real passionate relationship..
i wouldn't get my hopes up to high.....

I don't have any problems with her 'not' drinking beer in fact i like it that way.

As for the passion well when I said we have bad work schedules I meant 'not' enough' time to actually set the tone and atmosphere for sex. As several other people have said "its not worth rushing in to". I am just trying to give some meaning to this relationship and at some point sex will be part of it.

You could go to wine country (if you're in California) and do some wine tasting. Was in San Ynez Valley last weekend and you can talk with the people giving you the samples and they'll tell you all about wine. Plus you and her could figure out together which wines you prefer. Its a nice relaxing thing to do. Lots have places where you can just sit and enjoy yourselves while sampling wines.
