I applaud that, but I wouldn't go on the trip as it will only put on the pressure. Wait till you have engaged in the "act" or at least sleep together regularly before you start with the trips.

Yes, I know its alcohol but she does not mind wine or atleast is not as opposed to wine as she is to regular liquor.

Don't know what has age got to do with it but me 26 and she 25.

well it has alot to do with it. if you're 15, it'll be a few months before either parents allow their kids to go on a weekend trip, but if you're 25 then i'd say a few weeks is all it takes.

25 and been dating a few months, but no sex and no trips? something's not right here.

Not everyone is a slut like you.

i was just gonna say that...if my GF did "the act" with each person she dated for 2 months or more, damn...that would suck for me.

Well, i don't think it'll add extra pressure if you don't want it to. If she seems ready, then you know there is no problem on her part, but if you don't feel ready, then maybe you aren't ready. There has to be a reason you are having a doubt. If you think you are secure in your realtionship and feeings, and it appears she is as well, then there is no reason you cna't have a good time tgether.

Go somewhere fun, where if things start to get weird, you can do something outside the room, yet if you want to go back to your room, it's not a problem :)

just for reference, what is the correct time to be dating before having sex, since you both are obviously the rule makers in this arena

The first month, if you think she's worth keeping.

If you are not sure, then she's not. You'll know the moment you see her.

Alcohol is alcohol... and wine is stronger than beer. Dump her now if she is that naive.

That isn't what I am saying. Just because he hasn't had sex with her doesn't mean anything is wrong. Everyone moves at their own pace. Everyone is different. That is all I am saying.

I would evaluate how long you want to be with her. If it's a short term fling, then don't go; if it's someone you could see yourself with for a while, then go. you could use the alone time.

as for the comments about not having sex yet, i've been with my gf for about 2 months now also and we haven't had sex either. we don't want to rush into it. it'll happen when it happens, when the time is right. the first time isn't going to be in the back of my car or anything like that, which is really the only time we're truly alone(she lives with her sister and 2 nephews).

She never drank before so I think wine will go easier with dinner than other hard drinks.

yes it will, actually, it will only enhance the dinner more! If she has never really drank before(which you said), go with a fruity blush wine, or white wine, unless you are getting steak or beef, then go with a sweet, but not too dry red.

Yep, if you're both 18 or older and you've been together 2 months, sure, take a weekend trip.

Thumper and I did that about 6 weeks after we started dating, we drove from Dallas down to Galivastan for the weekend... :D
