I say it when it's true, whenever that is. Most of my friends completely comprehend the idea that there are various types of love, so I say this to lots of my friends already (including the guys who would never date me [and didn't when I was single] because they're my "brothers"). Somebody in a S.O. relationship should understand that too, and why would you even be in a relationship like that if you didn't love them to some degree?
