She was bombed off of her ass and was like "I love you!" and I just figured it was b/c I was being the helpful boyfriend keeping an eye on her in her drunken state.

The next day she was like "You know, I meant what I said last night..."

The inauspicious beginnings that lead to a marriage :D

i don't think it took us very long - a few weeks or a month at most.

around the same time we realized we would never be with anyone else i guess.

Why is it such a scarce thing to say? some dude said 7 months, some people are already engaged by that time. I couldnt imagine waiting longer than 2 months or so before saying it to her, thats if we go on a date once maybe twice a week. I guess its a good thing people are trying to restore power to the word, but i throw out love all the time. "I love this place!" "i love this guy!"(and ive known him for like a month) everyone gets mah love except the ladiez?

congrats, ryan. i hope you have a very long and happy relationship.

for me... the b/f fell in love with me hour two, date one but was afraid to tell me... although it was sooooo obvious to everyone else. After about 6 months, we were out in my local, and i we were talking about something, and he asked me why i ... dont remember the questions... but my answer was... "because I love you, that's why".... he did not say anyhitng at the time, but within two days, he was telling me he loves me numerous times a day and has been asking me to marry him... every day for the last 6yrs.

:)

I dropped the "L" word when I meant it. It was early too, just 2 weeks after we were dating.
I even learned how to say it in his native language to surprise him. He was quite impressed, and also in Love. To this day, we are married and very happy..

How long ago was that though? Sounds great, but without dates not so meaningful.

I told my now wife in Japanese I loved her, it was a lot more than 2 weeks though.

2 weeks to me is just coming out of a stupor, nothing to base a foundation on :)

7 Months or so, she didn't say it back for another 5 months, she also freaks out over the whole commitment thing. We are currently at 3 years and going strong, I am only 22 so no engagment or any of that stuff.
