So what TV shows is everyone going to watch this fall?

Terra Nova looks utterly terrible, and only Big Bang is scheduled to be DVRed right now. I need 2-4 more shows to watch this season.

terra nova looks retarded. Ok so the world is destroyed. WW3 hit and nearly everyone is dead. Yet they have the tech to go in the past! yeah a way to save everyone. so they go 85million years in the past? D: WTF that makes no sense.

why not go 10k years? 4k years? no dinos then!

Nothing new.

Big Bang Theory
Walking Dead
Burn Notice (rest of the season starts November)
House (curious how it'll end more than anything...I really hope this is the show's last season)

Boardwalk Empire (HBO)
Premieres: Sunday, Sept. 25, 9/8c

Dexter (Showtime)
Premieres: Sunday, Oct. 2, 9/8c

Homeland (Showtime)
Premieres: Sunday, Oct. 2 at 10/9c

American Horror Story (FX)
Premieres: Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10/9c

The Walking Dead (AMC)
oct. 16 9:00 PM

Hell on Wheels (AMC)
Premieres: Sunday, Nov. 6 at 10/9c

TV sucks.
I stopped watching it in 1997. Every once in a while someone will tell me about something they think is cool. I watch one episode. Not impressed. Go back to the internet. Only things I like are stuff I found myself on Netflix, like 30 Rock.
And thats where I watch, on Netflix. No ads. Just kick back and do a whole season in one weekend. Ditto Star Trek on Amazon Prime.

HIMYM
Community
The Office
Parks and Recreation, I just started watching this series
Psych
The new ABC fantasy

Just wanted to add that I'm watching Sons of Anarchy which recently started its 4th season on September 6 and Breaking Bad is finishing up it's 4th season.

I may have to catch up and watch The Office just to see how things are without Steve Carell.

Terra Nova!

Well done!! Has alot of potential. 9/10 for premier. 10/10 if the questions start getting answered reasonably quickly. I can see how this has the potential to follow in the spirit of Lost with the questions that get answered later.

EDIT: Well, one question sort of answered.

One question I had while watching Terra Nova is how far back did they go and what about that huge asteroid that killed off the dinosaurs? 😛

Granted humanity hasn't been around that long and a few million years difference would be enough time to do something about it but not sure if they have that much time.

How I Met Your Mother
Big Bang Theory
The Office
Walking Dead
That Metal Show

I'll probably watch a couple episodes of 2 Broke Girls. I'll have to stream Terra Nova off Fox's website when it's available as I forgot to DVR it.

Up All Night (with Will Arnett and Christina Applegate) - I like the cast, the first look trailer and while it is not a new idea, I have high hopes from this.

2 Broke Girls - Not a fan of Sex and the City but this looks funny, digestible and worth looking out for.

I hope Terra Nova is the great mix of Lost/Jurassic Park that I hope it is. Need to watch the pilot (no time). I love Zooey Deschanel but New Girl just seems incredibly cliched and unfunny. Hope the actual series is better than the trailer.

so TV sucks

but yet you still watch it, just on the computer? :hmm:

my dvr is pretty busy, but not with much new stuff

going to try person of interest, terra nova, and suburgatory, last man standing, how to be a gentlemen, homeland, and been storing strike back

maybe up all night and death valley(low hopes cuz its MTV), grimm

dropped 2 1/2 men, and might drop house

other than that

Sun:
Mon: HIMYM, H50, Castle house(thank youy syfy for ending power monday)
tues: biggest loser(wife not me)
wed: the middle,
th: big bang, mentalist bones, community
fri: chuck(why to friday??), fringe(tho I didnt see last season yet)

Psych Burn Notice Covert Affairs(ill keep it till the winter lull and marathon like I did in August) Hung when they start up

still need to catch up on Fringe and Leverage, would let leverage go but its a safety net for cancellations in the spring and a summer lul

still have walking dead on the DVR too

things I should be watching
eastbound and down(season behind), dexter(still good? saw first 2 seasons), modern family

on hiatus till after new year:
eureka, alphas, WH13, Justified, White Collar, Necessary Roughness

I almost hope they have ruined house and mentalist, so I can ditch them

on top of all this there are various house/yard/bath crashers, property virgins, and holmes inspections, blog cabin, man caves, ETC recording

yes, I know, I have a problem. My dvr's are pretty backed up

I expect bones to die this year too, house I think is over after this season anyways contractually, who knows what syfy will be back(only 1 season of eurkea left)

They went back 85 million years. They also made it clear that the trip to the past resulted in an alternate timeline so nothing in the past would have any impact on the future they came from. In an alternate timeline the asteroid might never hit. Even if it did they'd have 20 million years to deal with it.

Honestly I expected a complete mess and a train wreck. It wasn't totally terrible though. The show has some promise if it doesn't get too emo or character driven.

you should check out community i heard it's kinda funny.

himym (probably close to the end of the series)
2 broke girls (kat dennings, loved her in thor)
happy endings (just fun)
community (still waiting for a return to season1 quality, but better than the laugh-in-a-can sitcoms out there)
big bang theory (fall back when community isnt hitting)
modern family (not a huge fan, but some episodes are just classic)

dr. who (almost over but still good)
castle (fun, hate all the reset button hitting every season)
house (final season, they still try to push limits so still worth watching)
persons of interest (feels like it knows what it wants to be, very high production values)
alphas (surprise of the summer, nothing to complain about beyond some limited budget stuntwork. no missteps in tone, consistency, or dialogue yet.)
mentalist (still enjoying it)
burn notice (hoping they finish it soon)
white collar (has only gotten better since start)
fringe (giving it 1 more year to impress me. loved S1 and S2)
nikita (first half of S1 was great, then they blew 2 seasons worth of plot arcs in 10 eps when they werent sure of renewal)
supernatural (still fun)
chuck (if it doesnt suck)

top shot (only reality competition where you respect most of the contestants)

might watch
whitney
new girl
revenge
prime suspect
