So what do you carry for self defense?

Well, since I live in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey, youre pretty much not allowed to have anything. But I carry a Surefire G2Z with high-output lamp and 2% OC spray. I have a stun gun and a retractable billy club that I bought legally in Delaware, but can't here. Meanwhile the gang problem where I live is steadily getting worse, and of course, the criminals don't care about the laws so they have their guns and what not.

I was just curious as to what other people do in regards to every day self defense.

 

I take Aikido. Does that count?

Nothing...I'm fairly confident that if needed, I could defend myself, having a decent martial arts background...although I haven't practiced in years. If I'm in an unsafe area or something, I have an assortment of butterfly knives I could carry, with a chest strap.

edit: I forgot to mention the laser pointer that I shine in a bad guy's eyes and then run away from.
