The 96 saturn was a $10,321 car I bought with 30k+ on the clock to go to back to college in and later played with. Funny how no one mentions the $40k+ 66 GT or the 88GT or the GTI VR6 or the 92 GSR before it 🙂

what is so bad about this "concrete slab" you speak of.... I happen to really enjoy US1 in the summer time between the MD border and Kennet Square.... thats at least 30 miles of windburn inducing "concrete slab"

It's not all about smoking the other cars. If it were I would post all the time about how my F350 has smoked all the little rice burners I've ever bothered to show that they have a hunk of crap and a full size work truck blew them off the line.

Now this doesn't mean that I race my truck much at all nor does it mean that all ricers suck although most do. The only time I ever feel like doing it is when they are all around me trying to see just how loud they can get that fart pipe going annoying they hell out of every normal human being on the road. Then I embaress the hell out of them with my stock Truck that weighs more than all their cars put together.

I just don't see the point of buying a car that small and being uncomfertable in it and paying the price for that car. Jeez for the same amount of money you could have had a V8 and more legroom

Oh well though to each his own.

price points are different...also that WS6 can't turn those times anywhere near that gas mileage. The RSX can.

plus good luck seeing the nose in that thing if you do fast driving, that was a deal breaker for me. The WS6 is a cone killer on the autox a lot of times.

You saying all non-v8's have no legroom...I have been in more that had none than non-v8's that did.

I love the guys in the F250/350's that try to race my Nissan thinking 'another ricer'. It's even better though when they try to pull on the 408 Bronco we built. 🙂

and just what magical F350 is that? i've driven the V10 and it's not that fast. you might beat a Civic but anything with 200HP is going to take you easily. it's barely faster than my ancient, wheezing, accord station wagon, if at all.

edit: and yeah, that's "off the line," and it only gets worse once you get over 30 MPH and the 4-bangers start to make what power they do make. AND that was a dualie, so no griping about losing grip, because it essentially had 4 wheel drive.

I'm originally from the suburbs south of PA (West Chester), and yes, PennDOT BLOWS. They won't fill a pothole until your car gets stuck in one.

For edit, do you even know what 4 wheel drive is? and whenever i'm in the mood to do that with my work truck I'm always out in the lead by the time I give up which is about 50-55 MPH because showing up some stupid kid (which they are in most cases) isn't worth a speeding ticket, Which as it happens often enough a nerby cop often sees this going on and waits till the little rice burner get up to around 65 or so then pulls him 🙂

I've really got to stop doing this when the cop is on the opposite side of my truck than the rice burner.

First off it's not a dually, I think they are ungly as hell and my payloads normally don't exceed 3000lbs so don't have a need for one.

Not positive about what rpm off the top of my head but it's around 1500-2500 rpm.

And why the hell would I know the 1/4 mile time it's a pickup truck for gods sake. Only time it goes fast is when I'm running late or am bored and annoyed enough when somebody in a peice of crap is trying to race me (note that it's not always a ricer, but more often than not it is)

Oh and maybe I am up against somebody drinking coffee. Is that what they are doing when they are reving their engine and fliping me off and yelling get that slow peice of sh!t off the road. I guess I was just mistaken.
