Missed my post didn't you? Additionally Iowa and Missouri are the only states where 14 is legal, and then only in very restricted circumstances.The point is, if you don't like the law you should strive to change it, breaking the law does NOT bring about social change.

I agree, you do have to live in the legal constraints of the socitey you live in. However many laws are broken each and every day by citizens. Speeding for example. I do believe though, that if you're willing to break a law, you have to be ready for the consequence. Either way, I don't think it's the OP's place to meddle and turn him in or what not. I think he should evaluate the situation, speak to his friend, and if things take a dive for the worse and the relationship does prove to be harmful, then step in. Usually in a case like this, if no harm is being done, then it should be left alone. The only people who I think should be the ones stepping in, are the girl's parents if they disagree with it completely.
If you are 21 or over you should not be going for anyone under 18. 25 and 18 would be OK or even 16 and 20

Regardless of the legalities involved, 25 and 16 don't mix. I know that if I were seeing a 16 year old she would be little more than a toy. I'm pretty sure your friend sees her as that too.
The "love" part of the equasion has more to do with the fact that he has absolute control over someone who is only now begining to express her independence (by having sex with an older man - not a good way to start) and the sense of conquest that one gets by being with someone that others in your age group can't/won't be with.
If your friend thinks he and his GF have a lot in common he needs to grow up.

As long as she's the legal age of consent, I wouldn't care even though it is quite odd. Whether it's 16, 14...whatever. Though, if it is illegal, then you should talk with him and then diceide for yourself wheter you want yourself associated with him and his actions.
