>Why we've done so good since 82?__--__--Here it comes, ready or not<

Wow, who let in the guy who actually undestands how this crazy world works? If I were gay, I would not only have voted for Al Gore, but would say, "I love you!" :)

<< Bush is just doing what is expected of him by those that elected him. >>

And a lot of you didn't expect too much from him if I recall. He was voted in because many felt he was the lesser of two evils. He's also proven to be lesser of a leader than some expected.

He has Zero repoire with the American People and it looks as if he is being told what to do by the Ultra Conservatives though it was the Moderates from both Parties that enabled him to become president. If he continues to get his orders from the Ultra Right he is doomed to be a one term president as the Ultra Right is as reviled by Mainstream America as the Whacko Left is. One thing's for sure, he's no Ronald Reagan and it looks like he's half the man his daddy is too.

<< Actually last time I checked we had a republic not a democracy, but who knows. >>

Do you live in the USA? The name "Republic" is reserved for nations like China (PRC) and the old USSR. Granted, we are a Republic in the loosest sense, in that our nation was termed one by our forefathers; however, the fact remains that democracy rules this nation. If you want a real republic, move to China where your freedoms are heavily limited.

I'd say he had some real big shoes to fill in either case.

After Raygun we needed tax increas after tax increase to dig out of the deficit he dug us into. Voodoo economics I think it was. And we're doing it again. We'll either tap social security or bust the budget and have to recind the cuts.

Moonbeam rewriting history as I predicted...the deficit was shrinking when Reagan retired. Spending by Democrats AFTER is what caused the deficit which as a percentage of the economy wasn't and isn't a problem in any case.

Actually Im pretty sure the reason Bush won the election is due to our republic, because if it was a democracy, Gore would have won.

If you think I've edited the chart, prove it.

I never said you edited the chart. I said >>"see,I told you so" as the title to that page and you call moonbeam re writing history? LOL :D

That is in direct reference to the link you posted.

Today,I do not feel like doing searches and cut and paste crap to prove anything. The fact that this thread has consistantly proven you red faced right wing wackos have no support for the A hole you people claim to have put into office to represent the leadership of this nation,is all I need to know your ranks are dwindling. When republicans start to abandon this bafoon, you guys got a real problem.

Stand by. The 2002 elections are right around the corner, and the left has plenty of amunition for this one. I here you guys are so worried about McCain, your party wacko's are trying to have a recall in Arizona. Why don't you all just declare war on anyone who is left of the far right.

My favorite line from shrub, "I'm a uniter,not a devider" Hahahahahaha:D

Oh I forgot, you are telling me to shut up.

Did it work?;)

Speaking of ammo, wait until the Republican Party starts to exploit the Jeffords defection...During the first ~`100-days, much was getting done around Washington; since then, however, things have taken a turn for the worse...ever since Herr VonDaschle and his brownshirts took over...I was going research who is up for reelection in Nov. and make a prediction on seats today, but got sidetracked...If anyone has the info, please post and save me the time :)

...and a menial as you think the tax rebate checks might be, wait till you see the looks on people's faces when they arrive in their rural RD mailbox...political goldmine, sir.

Woah, I didn't think there would be anything so compelling to bring me back into this pointless discussion except for that last chart.
let me post the URL instead of masking it's dubious reputation behind a linky
http://a802.g.akamai.net/7/802/2068...chart.Par.0001.ImageFile.MDEwNjI4MTgxMjQ3.jpg

Rush..Limbaugh. Woah.

I would like to direct your attention to the BEA NIPA tables at
http://www.bea.doc.gov/bea/dn/nipaweb/SelectedTables.asp
Go to section 3 Table 3.1 Government Current Receipts and Expenditures
Then click on 1991 for start date. Make it anual so the graph is readable. Then look at the nice DOWNWARD TREND from budget deficit to a nice cushy budget surplus.

And I believe half of the figures on Limbergers graph were estimates. Thanks for the laugh.
I'm gonna go back to work now. haha

That's terrible Helpless. People with moral character aren't supposed to exploit situations are they? I always thought the truth spoke for itself. And besides, I hear that the people in his state are pleased with his heroic, nation saving stand. Jeffers is a national hero and tremendous patriot and a perfect antedote to an arrogant dolt that lost the popular vote and thought he could govern from the right.
