So I tried a cigarette yesterday...

comments like this rub me the wrong way. do you know this girl? spent any time with her to be in a position to judge her? if your concern is that she is a smoker, does it say anywhere in here that she is a pack a day smoker?

sure smoking is gross, i'll admit that even as a smoker, but its not like you have any bad/gross habbits? picking your nose, drink a bit too much, overweight perhaps?

LOL.

that girl you're seeing is a keeper, no doubt.

next tuesday is ketamine. and don't forget about meth mondays and salvia saturday!

Right, because trying a cigarette and trying methamphetamines are the same thing.

no, but being persuaded into trying a cigarette and being persuaded into trying a drug aren't too far off in my book.

both have happened before- to unsuspecting, easily convinced individuals like the OP. all it takes is a cute girl and a spoon.

When I read this, I heard, 'Bow chicca wow-wow' in my head...

commercial cigs are terrible for you. However, I do believe it should be your choice what chemicals you want to ingest...and am not against tobacco as a product, just against all the extra ****** they put in there.

You inhaled way, way too much. You'll be fine, but still an idiot.

You should try shisha. You put it in a hookah (like a bong) and you heat the shisha with a hot coal. You're not burning it, so you're ingesting fewer chemicals.

But am I OK? I haven't been able to stop coughing at all this morning, and my throat is really dry...
i've tried one too. it was my first and my last. hopefully that is your path.

I hope so. But I can see where people can addicted. Once you get over the "inhaling coughing" problem...

You know it only takes one puff to form an addiction. Soon the shakes will start. You'll find yourself inexplicably drawn to the breaktime smokers at your job, only later will you put together the fact that their second-hand smoke is clearing your head and stopping your quivering nervousness. Go ahead and buy a pack on you way home this evening, it's inevitable that you will become a smoker now.

You'll be ok, I just wouldn't advise that you try it again. Smoking is really bad for you. I watched my in-law die from it, and she was coughing out black chunks.

Whoever got you to try it shouldn't have. Smoking is bad, it's not quite the same thing as "here, try this fruit cake, you'll like it."

You did it wrong. That's like shotgunning the first beer you've ever drank. ;) You have to ease into it, get your throat and lungs used to the feeling of the smoke, then you'll be able to inhale without hacking and gagging. Regular cigarettes suck though, clove cigarettes are much better. ;)

Your no smoking idea is a better plan though. :)

Never, ever, under any circumstances, try that again!!!
As a rather heavy smoker for over 30 years, I know of what I speak;
I've just been diagnosed with an advanced case of emphysema, I knew I had been short of breath lately, with a cough that really bothered me, so I went and had it checked out.
Believe me, it's not fun. I HAVE to stop smoking NOW. The damage is irreversable. The only hope I have is that the God-awful cough may quell somewhat, but it will never go away.
It's sad when you try to walk 100 yards and become so winded you get physically sick at your stomach. Mylanta has been my constant companion for a while now.

Just hope this helps ANYONE who considers smoking to re-think doing so.

The first couple cigs I smoked were pretty harsh when I inhaled. You get used to it pretty fast then you don't feel anything when you inhale.

Well what I've started realizing is, being around Mindy for a long time (the girl that gave this cig to me) has made me kiss her a lot right after she's smoked a cigarette. eventually, I got used to it. Last night was the first time I tried one, and I'll admit, I want to try again... I don't think I'm addicted, because I only took one puff and coughed most of the time, but the feeling of breathing in through the resistance is what I'm craving. I feel fine today, like I'm done sweating or anything like that, heart is fine. Just a craving in my mind. Think after a few days of not seeing her it will go away?
