The girl I'm seeing got me to try it. I put it to my mouth, breathed in deep, and felt this sharp pain hit my right lung (I mean SHARP). I immediately coughed, and all the smoke came out, and never will I try that crap again.

But am I OK? I haven't been able to stop coughing at all this morning, and my throat is really dry...

LOL.

that girl you're seeing is a keeper, no doubt.

next tuesday is ketamine. and don't forget about meth mondays and salvia saturday!

Because taking Ketamine is equally as damaging as smoking a cigarette, isn't it?

Last night was the first time I tried one, and I'll admit, I want to try again... I don't think I'm addicted, because I only took one puff and coughed most of the time, but the feeling of breathing in through the resistance is what I'm craving. I feel fine today, like I'm done sweating or anything like that, heart is fine. Just a craving in my mind. Think after a few days of not seeing her it will go away?

again... wow, just wow...

Dumbass. Ditch the girl and move on. Smoking is just down right nasty.

comments like this rub me the wrong way. do you know this girl? spent any time with her to be in a position to judge her? if your concern is that she is a smoker, does it say anywhere in here that she is a pack a day smoker?

Some people are simply repulsed by smoking. In fact, I happen to be one of those people.

I had a few dates with a pretty good looking girl in college. She had just graduate with her degree in Pharmacy (read: $$$ and smart), and we were getting along great.

We were at a bar one night and *BAM* she lit up. I called it a night right then and there and never called her back.

It might sound strange to some, but you haven't been in these shoes. In the example above, the girl destroyed the image of her in my head. It's just freaking nasty to some people.

You could have finished the whole carton that night and not be addicted.

Just violently sick. ;)

thats a pretty long reaction to 1 inhalation

Fixed and LMAO

So because I only inhaled once, is this in my head? And it was more like 3 times. The first two times I coughed, so the final time (the third time) was the first time I breathed in, held, and let go. So theoretically just one inhalation.

is this in my head? I heard some get addicted after one puff. I'm not necessarilly craving the nicotine... more the act of breathing in through a cigarette. I guess I just liked the feeling.

Anyway, so as long as I stay away I should be good?

Did you smoke lights? Lights are much better! They are not as harmful as regular cigs. Definitely smoke the lights for health.

i've tried once...never ever again. i didn't breathe right for a week...the person that gave me that cigarette was someone i THOUGHT was a friend, but in all actuality, if someone gives you a cigarette with all the knowlege they know today, they are an enemy. my dad is a religious smoker...probably close to 2 packs daily and i've grown up with it, i just hope it doesn't create any problems for me when i get older just because my dad thought it'd be cool to smoke in jr. high... now he's 46 and regrets taking his first drag and can't quite. i regret he did too...hope he's there to walk me down the aisle in 5 years...

Every guy who tries a smoke for the first time thinks he has to suck..er..puff for a good 5 seconds to draw in any smoke. I usually puff no longer than 1-2 seconds.

First time I smoked (15 years old), I coughed for a minute. Cigarette was burning so i puffed it again - coughed some more. Having coughed my way through that, I lit another. I kept trying a cigarette or two for a few days and got the hang of it. For a week, I just kept the smoke in my mouth but out of my lungs - just let my mouth get used to the taste. One month later, i quit because the guy I used to borrow the smokes from, my best friend whom I'd hang with 12 hours a day, went out of town for the summer - and I never felt the urge to buy my own smokes.

I also realized Marlboro Lights is a BAD choice for a first time smoker. It's light for a regular smoker...NOT for a casual smoker ;-)
Then at age 17, I went to college. Started smoking every once in a while. I'm 20 now and I smoke about 15 cigarettes a day. 'I will quit whenever I have kids' is what I tell myself. :)

Dude, it does NOT work that way. The first time you smoke, you wanna kill the guy who gave you the smoke. Your throat is itchy, your eyes water, your mouth tastes foul....you SHUDDER to try a second puff! There's no way in hell you enjoyed the first puff and are addicted to it! Even a single snort of cocaine isn't that addictive, I think! Are you sure you didn't smoke some really potent 9-delta-THC????

And yeah, Menthol cigarettes make you impotent so don't smoke those. And American brands all seem to have this awful after-taste. British blends (Benson & Hedges, Dunhill) are great...oh wait, I should be telling you to NOT smoke. Don't smoke! Unless you want to?
