Girl scout cookies don't contain real girl scouts.

and baby food isn't made out of babies

and buffalo wings contain 0% buffalo :brokenheart::frown:

i went to a "soul food" restauraunt and ordered a sandwich , a buffalo sandwich

turns out a buffalo is a fish , like a carp, so i got a carp sandwich instead of a beef like , big furry mammal sandwich

My roommate had a brain fart a dinner last night. He was talking about his one prefessor coming from Boston. Then he mentioned that if he wanted a job, he might be able to get one "down there". We live in southern PA. Apparently he truly didn't know where Boston was...

Then this is gonna blow your mind....

A Raisin is a Dried Grape..... It's True, catch your breath!

I knew that. Just because there are so many versions of dried things like dried fruit, prunes, raisins and whatnot. And the only things that I know get pickled are like pigs feet and eggs and stuff. I think its because they aren't called pickled cucumbers.. just pickles.

ya know, I always knew they were pickled cucumbers because 1. common sense and 2. my mom used to grow her own cucumbers and dill and make pickles herself (also pickled green beans, "Dilly beans" we called them, and okra, both of those are great)

However, when I was working at a store a while back, an asian lady asked me if we had pickled cucumbers, and I said "hrm, I don't think so..." then BAM it hit me, that's just plain old pickles

I understand I should have known that, its common sense and all. But have you noticed that the examples that you guys have given so far to make fun of this all have the main word of the item in title of it? There is no mention of cucumber in pickle.

An episode of Good Eats last night was on pickles. An interesting tidbit from that episode said that making a "kosher" pickle meant simply adding garlic to the brine.

i wonder what the label on a pickle jar lists as ingredients

MrLee, we are not laughing at you, we are laughing with you

You should make your own pickles out of cucumbers as an interactive learning experience. If you do it right you may just not feel like buying them ever again...
