Finished this game yesterday. Took about 40 hours which is about right for me. I enjoyed it. THe visuals were excellent, the crafting fun, tons of loot, and the setting interesting. Complaints are that it wasn't as open as I hoped and the difficulty is usually too easy and the entire swallows part of the game is annoying. But yeah, despite that the game was just fun to play and that's the main thing. 8/10

Did you do all the temple quests you pick up at Bayan?...I somehow missed this quest first time through,on the seventh temple now and they are coming complicated,I advise anybody to save before you go in,just in case you get stuck inside.

Could someone tell me the highest level required on gear? I bought a 2H sword, Demon Slayer, needs lvl36 (weapon level 40). Anything higher?

I saw a level 46 sword and ax in my game. I wasn't high enough to use it. There is also at least level 41 armor. (by level I mean you need to be that level)

No, I missed that as well. Sounds interesting. May go back and have a look.

Speak to the guys that are playing dice at Bayan, one on the left gives you the quest.

It's worth doing for xp and some nice items from each temple.

Warts and all, I had a blast with this game. After finishing it I kept re-modding my character to try out different spellforms. What a seriously awesome magic system. I cast on myself to jump 500ft high and leapt around the continent for kicks.

Heh, after I beat Morrowind the first time I used cheats/mods to increase my speed beyond the norm, and pretty much did the same thing. Was quite fun. :awe:

So what makes the magic system so great in Two Worlds II?

The bug I had first time with rusty key(quest where you get rusty key for reward) is not here this time.

I think it may have to do with the last patch,ie maybe you have to start a fresh game for the patch fixes to work or kick in rather then see if it works with your current save, anyway playing as mage rather then warrior is far easier ,you can get through the game quicker and easier,in some ways it more fun since you have so many different magical spells and support mobs at your command.

Some quests are bugging out for me - the last part of the Timmy's book in the University (couldn't find him in his expected location) or an assassination for Mr. Lexington for example (I killed the dude, quest logged marked the same, Lexington said he ran away). Loading the game and doing the last parts again solved it for me in both cases... Don't really feel like loading a save from 25 hours ago and do everything again just to get a few more items and a bit more exp though to finish the Rusty Key one ;)

Minor spoiler
the dude at beech,if he runs away you get another quest and chance to kill him at his house,if he does not die due to a bug ,I read you can leave his house and enter again, however this did not work for me .

Btw I'm close to doing this quest above,so will let you know if it bugs out again for me....I will do a save before I take the quest.

I had an autosave just before talking to him on the beach, loading it and doing the dirty work a second time solved the quest fine for me.

Anyway, 2H owns :p On character screen it says 3k DMG + elemental, my specials do like 7k+ :p I just round everyone up and swipe them in groups :D 2-3 swings and bye bye! Plus my current sword, Demon Tamer, looks totally awesome :D

Today its bugged for me, first time he got to his house so I could not kill him inside because he was on GOD mode , I left and came back in and he had vanished lol so I reloaded an earlier save and redone the quest at the beech and he was on GOD mode again,my homing fireballs had no effect and I'm a fire master level 10 fireballs, anyway I thought get him in his house well he's on GOD mode 24/7 in his room lol..I'm going to leave this quest its not worth the hassle,I did report it to the developers.

I played the game twice now with new characters and this bug is so easy to repeat everytime I played it , so hopefully they will fix it once and for all.

So I finished the game. Here's a story summary:

1/3 of the game -> ok, a generic story, I'll just run with it
2/3 of the game -> quests here and there... stuff stuff, upgrade upgrade... why am I doing it again?
3/3 of the game -> seriously... WTF. is it the same game? makes so little sense I just pushed for the ending

The game was ok in the end. I'd give it 6 or 7 out of 10 in total. It was fun to run around, upgrade your gear and do stuff. However the story was cliche at first, a total mess in the end. I am most definitely not replaying it again though.

I'd recommend it if it goes on sale. 40€ is a bit much in the end.

Most people and reviews are giving a 6-8/10. Its not a bad game but its not a great game either. Just an okay good game so thats why I'm waiting for it to hit bargain bin prices. Not going to pay full price for it. I'm hoping by the time I do buy it the modding community will have improved it greatly. Assuming of course it can be modded like people did with Oblivion.
