I have been playing in DX10, no issues to meantion.

I will say this game is a lot better then the first Two Worlds so thumbs up from me  to the developers.

Stability is still excellent and still not got stuck in any area of the game,I purchased my in game house which I thought was quite nice .
I have played about 16 hours now of this game, overall this game is better then I expected.

Same enjoyable experience though I think at $50 it's a little expensive for this overall product, nonetheless it's a great game and it's delivering almost exactly what I expected.

It's keeping me glued to my screen for hours even after over 15 hours of play time so it's a good sign.

@ Zargon: Didn't tried the co-op, sorry. Heard though that the big island in the middle of the map is exclusive to co-op players so you have new territories to explore compared to to SP.

I paid £20 which is about $32 so got a good buy for retail copy ,anyway at that price I can't really complain :).

I'm on chapter 2 now and lots to do (without spoilers) anyway the new area makes a pleasing change, you can still go back to all your old previous areas if you wish via teleport etc....incase you want to finish off an old quest or two.

Chapter 2 mobs seem to hit harder,Chapter 1 was not really an issue mob wise but in C2 you got to be a bit careful when mobs gang up on you, anyway makes it more interesting when your health drops quicker in C2.

This game is so awesome :D Horse riding is fun and I can really feel I don't have one right now... Got myself a nice two-hander and rip stuff to pieces :D Got a bit cocky, found some underground dungeon-thing and got one-shotted :p Anyway, very open and fun so far, game looks gorgeous, fighting is fun and the main dude sounds kinda cool, "whatever you say, I don't really care"-cool. Plus some funny one-liners from him here and there :awe: Can't wait for the DX11 patch! Very much worth the 40€ it cost me!

EDIT: Playing at 1920x1080, all maxed and in-game AA + MLAA in CCC, DX10 mode. Game runs great! Playing with an Xbox 360 gamepad.

EDIT2: Here's a screenshot from many hours ago (still had some crappy weapons and basic armor). And sadly MLAA doesn't show on screenshots.

EDIT3: Here's my dude now:

The game looks even better in motion. And the music fits the mood very well.

Qbah forget about single 2 handed weapon ,you better off with single weapons in both hands ;) ,rips through anything(until chapter 2),bonus is you can have one for slashing and one for blunt damage plus faster speed too, some mobs have high resistance to slashing etc :).

I use a mace on left hand and sword on right hand.

Gamepad?...old school here ie good old keyboard and mouse which is so easy and still best method for RPGs ;)

I use only 2H since start and I'm destroying everything.

Set 1 with a 2H mace
Set 2 with a 2H sword

Both modified and doing over 600 dmg without adding my strengh bonus.

I found, and it's simply my opinion, that dual wielding is not that powerful compared to what I use now. Maybe I'll give it a try to compare now that i'm in chapter 2 and have access to better weapons.

I think 2H are probably the better option, although I use dual wield as I find that more fun. 2H is definitely superior for mobs.

But hey, I'm a role player, not a power gamer.

For me a warrior is a dude wearing heavy armor and wielding a fat 2-hander :D I don't really care if dual wield is more efficient or better, it looks lame to me :p Clobbering stuff with a 2H sword = fun :D

And for me gamepad is a lot more enjoyable. I just chill in front of my TV :)

Game's super fun, looks great and I highly recommend it

Yeah it's a good looking game at high settings. I wish they had a bit less savannah and a bit more jungle/forest though.

Nice to get away from the Savannah

Nothing wrong with a bit of sarcasm...

My single handed modded mace does over 600 damage,I do use staff sometimes too for long range, never needed to use a bow,btw I like the knights armour it comes in some cool colours and offers very good protection.

Btw dual weld does not look lame ,especially if its magically enhanced, nice glowing magical aura around the weapons saying beware you'll get your ass kicked ;).

I am enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would despite its many flaws.

I avoided all the hype, previews and reviews and dove right in with only my immense hatred of the first one to sustain me. And so far it's great. I mean, there is no story, the animations are first year 3D animation student bad, the dialogue looks like it was sent through babelfish in three different languages before coming back to English, the voice acting is worse than a 1996 FMV game, and the quests are generic fare, but the combat can be challenging and the crafting is awesome. Also the graphics are pretty nice; the textures are high res and some particle effects are nice, though they did go a little overboard on the bloom but at least that can be turned down.

Anyway, definitely glad I bought it. After reading some reviews I'm surprised there are people comparing it to Oblivion when it's nothing like it other than being open-world.

I found two bugs so far ,one is the rusty key reward you get, you can't use it on the door entrance, checking their forums it appears to be a known bug, other was killing Presott Cormic ,he would not die(health got to zero but he kept getting up like he was on God Mode lol) so I had to reload an earlier save and retake the quest which fixed the issue.

I do like the lockpicking technique ,its quite interesting and better then Oblivion's version IMHO.

Is it just me or is music impossible to play using the keyboard? I imagine it would be much better with a controller, but with the keyboard it's clunky and there appears to be a large amount of input lag. Hopefully they can slow it down for the PC in a future patch.

And I'm still shocked at how engrossing this game is. The world is so beautiful, I've just been exploring the past few hours.

Oh, and I'm not sure if this is a bug, but does the horse whistle not work at all? I've read that it only works at short distances, but I tried everything from standing right next to the horse and varying distances yet nothing happens when I hit the button. No whistle sound, no animation. I even remapped it to no avail.

I found another bug, minor end game spoiler so be warned
when you leave the castle and finish the game at end you are free to roam and continue playing, however if you go back into the castle you can't get out, teleport pad does not work and the door you came in from has no exit option.

I'll say you get a good 40-50 hours average playing from this game,I'm going to start a new game and make a pure mage alt build this time.

Well I love this game :) I'm level 24, still in chapter one and I look like some Japanese Anime Samurai - got a hat, a katana and some fitting armor. In 2 levels I'll get a new sword, a huge Zweihander, so I'll shop for some heavy looking armor and I'll look totally badass :D Can't wait !!

I'm replaying as a pure mage this time, found some new caves I somehow missed first time round, only level 6 but you soon level up in this game :).

Same here. I think I spent 20 hours in chapter 1, just exploring every inch of the available map. I was angry at first that this game that was billed as an open-world RPG to end all open-world RPGs has chapters set on separate, linear continents, and it never really does open up (well, sort of in chapter 2 but it's a pain.) I'm early in chapter 3 so hopefully 4 will be better.

Also (semi-spoiler I guess)
I am not looking forward to playing in The Swallows again. God that place is worse than the fade part in Dragon Age.

Replaying as a pure mage this time round is easier then my previous warrior build, summoning some ice spiders with my fireball attacks does a lot of damage and keeps mobs off you.

I still need to experiment with the magic card system but so far I think its going to be lot easier this time through.

Btw level 18 now.

So, I picked this up partly on a whim and partly from reading some comments here. I didnt expect the most polished game going in.

So far I am surprised by how much I like it. There are plenty of rough edges and it deserves the mediocre reviews.

However

every now and then a game comes along that is far from perfect but has that certain charm. This seems to fit the bill.

I am not far along at all, just got my first level, just past what I would call the tutorial part. So I need to play more to give it a recommendation yet.

Early on it feels sort of like a mix of The Witcher, Oblivion and maybe just a splash of Mount and Blade: Warband. Its not as wide open as Oblivion but more than The Witcher. It kind of has a witcher feel to combat. A little clunky, but fun. Crafting and Magic cards looks very intruiging, plenty of side "games" to keep things interesting.

All I know is I woke up very anxious to play more, and that doesnt happen often even with games that get 9/10 reviews.

Will see how this goes, only level 3! :)

Finished this game yesterday. Took about 40 hours which is about right for me. I enjoyed it. THe visuals were excellent, the crafting fun, tons of loot, and the setting interesting. Complaints are that it wasn't as open as I hoped and the difficulty is usually too easy and the entire swallows part of the game is annoying. But yeah, despite that the game was just fun to play and that's the main thing. 8/10
