infinitly secure because it does NOT exist

You really should remedy that.

why should I?

IMO porn is boring, it lost its appeal 10 years ago when i turned 14

Every guy I know, even those that get more sex than they want, still likes porn. Or did you have an experience like the guy in Eurotrip when he watched a gay porn by accident: "The girls never came. They never came!" ;) Seriously though, I'm sorry that you don't enjoy porn.

actually ive never seen eurotrip

nothing for you to be sorry about, To each his own and all

I know what you mean. I lose interest in porn after about 15 minutes.

...And yet 15 minutes [edit: later] you are intersted again. Weird...

I keep gigs and gigs in C:\moshquerade :)

Porn & other confidential materials is at P:\.... but

1) i'm the only one with read permissions
2) i lock the machine when i step away.... at all.... and I have a 2 minute screensaver lockout. good practice for anyone.
3) if i know that others will be using my machine, i simply have windows unmount P:... who's gonna know it's there? :D

<edit>

Oh, and for those couple of people that might actually care enough want to mount P: on my machine... just ask, OK? I'll grant you access :p

If you find a good collection, install K-Lite and make sure the \my shared folder\ is pointed to it. Give them plenty of bandwidth.

Cheers!

Yeah... I have XP Pro. I don't remember which OS it was introduced in (well, the *easy* way, at least).

Right click on My Computer, Manage, Disk Management.

I thought Disk Management is for setting up partition, formatting only.
If you have a secondary storage in a hard drive rack can you unmount that, change the drive with another hard drive and mount it back again??

I keep mine in my home folder in a folder named "..." hard to see with ls! You dont even notice it...

Not like anyone else can log into my user account anyways.

Not very hidden, because nobody uses this PC but me. This PC requires logon and when I get up from my desk I lock it.

I do have a file naming system though: "MOMYOUDONTWAANAOPENTHIS-1.mpg" followed by "MOMYOUDONTWAANAOPENTHIS-2.mpg", etc

haha, that's great.

mine folder called "menu" and it's buried a few levels deep in system files. i'm pretty much the only person who uses this computer, but occasionally other people do.

back in the day (when I used to look at porn and kept it on my computer) I used a program called "magic folders" Probably wouldn't work real well if some one took your hard drive, but the folder won't be there when you look on the current computer!

You guys method are too tedious. I mean, every time you want to look at ur porn u gotta decrypt it, put in a password, make folder visible, log on different account. Too much hassle for me. I just keep it right on the desktop for quick access. When ur horny, you'll need it fast...trust me!

You know you can remove ALL the users from a folder, right? No need to have a seperate logon or anything, just have NO users with permission to it. Just takes a moment to set.

When you want anything in the folder, just add yourself as the user, "manage your files" ;), then remove the user account afterward.

Neat, quick, tidy, no fuss and quite secure.

It helps to give it some very OS-sounding name, though, like ~ntupdate.bk25 or something, so nobody, if they stumble across the folder, wastes too much time wondering why they don't have permission to it.

That's why their collections grow to 250 GB!
"hmmm.... I'm feelin a little horny. Nah, too much trouble to decrypt it... much easier to just download another GB or so."

How's this for an idea: password protected RAR, then rename the extension. They'll never even know it's a RAR file after you die and they're going through your things.
