What's up with Fox broadcast getting hippier and hippier over the last several years? ....probably only ...3 of us? in this thread have noticed, but last two commercial breaks go out on Phish (Tweezer) and the Dead (Althea)

They've been playing Phish for years....this might be the first time I noticed them playing that GD Grateful Dead, though.

I guess it's the producer in the truck that makes those decisions, and it's probably the same old roadie that spent his youth on tour in the 80s or something, lol.

And the Packers still won't make a pass. :p

<sigh> could very well be true.

I know Rodgers is an incredible talent BUT how can he be expected to win anything at all with this (mostly) lame team around him?

49er's are literally playing ALL 2ed/3rd string level guys on offense ... looks a lot better than that facing GB's anemic D.

Ahhh ... this is a FINE game so far lol.

GB looks like world-beaters against whoever these guys in SF uniforms are .... don't forget how they looked against an "intact" 49er team.

The niners are trying...but not too successfully.

Looking at the injury reports both teams are pretty torn up but the Niners are in far worse shape in terms of talent being sidelined.

Thing is that unless Rodgers has the game of his life, any team with a half-decent secondary that can knock him down a few times too will likely walk all over GB right now.

That's an easy call ... a better question is if Seattle can keep the Bills from scoring.
Yup. If I were a betting man, I'd take Seattle and the Over, because I think this is going to be a high scoring game.

Guess I was wrong about Seattle's offense. They certainly weren't bad, but turned the ball over several times. 44-34 Buffalo, woo!

Wilson took a beating ... still made it interesting in the end.

Watch out for the Bills though ... looking at their schedule the only serious problem I see for them coming down the pike is the Steelers. (maybe the semi-surprise overall best team in the AFC)

Next week at the Cardinals s/b interesting for both teams but I think the Bills are a lot closer to actually winning then AZ.

EDIT: Oh yeah .... GO BILLS !!!! :p

EDIT #2: Holy crap @ the Steelers .... rebirth of the "Steel-Curtain" ?!?

That was one crazy game!!

More disturbing however is my Giants right in the thick of the race for the NFC-(L)East @ 2-7 ... wth.

Hey. I know it is a tall order but the Pats is down this year. We were 1-3 at one point and now after 4 wins in a row, we are only behind them Bills. If the season ends today, Fins is #7 seed in the conference.

Gotta keep the faith. That's why I wrote <crossing fingers>...and maybe all them toes too.

Belichick is getting a dose of reality without Brady's specially inflated golden balls and the Jets would be a bad team in the CFL ... the Bills however are going to be a serious problem for anyone they play.

The Pats won the division 19 times since the last time Buffalo won. The Jets and Dolphins have both won the division twice since Buffalo's last. Hell, the Colts have a more recent AFC East championship than Buffalo.

All true ... and?

They may win it this year too but I doubt it.... the way Miami and the rest of the AFC are playing I wouldn't hold my breath on a wildcard either.

The 2020 Bills (all that matters in this context) managed to hold off Wilson and the Seahawks IMO one of the top teams in the NFC if not the entire NFL.

I for one was fairly impressed with the Bills performance.

EDIT: I also really wish the Giants had Josh Allen instead of Jones.

What you said is all true but just like the old saying.."what have you done lately". The Pats does not have the same QB or TE or other players like it did before during the dynasty run. I am not counting out the Pats because it is still only 1/2 of the season and Bill is a great coach so stay tuned.

Exactly ... Newton so far has not been nearly as effective as I thought he was going to be. If he ever decides to start listening, hang in the pocket and think "pass-first" (as I'm pretty sure Belichick has been telling him to do) NE could be very dangerous.

I still however think the AFC East torch is about to be passed to the Bills.

Meanwhile tonight's Saints/Bucs game is reminding me a little bit of Joe Montana and the Chiefs for some reason .... not a good look.

To be fair Montana failed with KC mainly due to the players around him but age/his back were also major problems and the same can be said for Brady with the Bucs. (although fail or not remains to be seen)
