What you said is all true but just like the old saying.."what have you done lately". The Pats does not have the same QB or TE or other players like it did before during the dynasty run. I am not counting out the Pats because it is still only 1/2 of the season and Bill is a great coach so stay tuned.
Oh yeah, I firmly believe the winner will be the Bills or the Dolphins this year. I'm just pointing out the futility I've seen time and time again through most of my life as a Bills fan. 5-2 starts and no playoffs twice in the playoff drought alone! But if any year is their year, it's this one.

Well, I held true to not watching any football this year. And look what happened, Brady throws for 3 INTs. I think the Saints just intimidated him.

Why did you decide to "cancel" football this year?

Just curious not judging! ;)

The Saints aren't exactly an intimidating defense .... Brady looked tired and old in that game last night and Tampa was either exposed on the O-line or they gave up/didn't try.

Also anyone else notice some odd behavior on the part of TB towards the end of that game? I'm wondering if there's a bit of resentment against "Golden-Boy" taking over.

Tampa looked like it just fell asleep last night or just didn't show up. The whole team seemed like they were off. Maybe they were drugged?

Yeah that game was a surprise .... I was expecting an even contest till roughly half-way through the third or so then the Saints to get worn out by the Tampa pass-rush/D and lose by 7-10 points.

One more reminder of why it's tough to bet on football ... it's all about matchups and staying on top of all of those enough week to week to REALLY analyze games is a full-time job!

Go Bills!

I have a buddy in Buffalo who is a rabid Bills fan and he's excited.

IMO they'll win the AFC East going away at this point and they should be favored in round 1 of the playoffs at least but after that IDK.... team still has some maturing to do before I pick them over KC or Pittsburgh.

Ravens or the Titans could be a different story though!

Tampa is an undisciplined team with a easygoing culture. Tommy can try to do his Belichick imitation, but his coach is not doing that. The Bears game should have been an easy win, but it became a one point loss.

Tommy is also in Year 1 of a new offense, and just dragged his pet AB into the forefront....perhaps a little too much for his first game in 2 years.

Losing Vita Vea is looking like a huge blow, and their running game has been put in check.

Jameis might have also disclosed everything.

He'll have his heart broken again. That Tua guy is on the rapid upswing.

Miami is a LOT better than I thought they would be this season and will sneak up on a few more good teams before it's over.

They are however a couple years behind the Bills and no matter how good Tua is football is a team-sport.

Could they beat the Bills? Sure but so could Denver and maybe even Gang-Green ... any given Sunday and all that.

However Buffalo is the stronger team right now IMO.

Josh Allen looks good but there's the moments of inaccuracy and inconsistency that he still has not ironed out. The Dolphins were pretty competitive in the week 2 game against them, and they are getting better each week.

We'll see ... both teams are getting steadily better I just don't trust that there's no "smoke and mirrors" with the Dolphins. Lets see how things go when they aren't sneaking up on anyone and/or they play a healthy top-tier team.

One thing for certain though I'd take either one in a heartbeat over my pathetic Giants!

Anyone but "FOOTBALL TEAM" or maybe the Jets and we would have blown that last game.

:(

My Redskins just made sure you guys will stay with Danny Dimes. No Rosen to Murray succession for you guys.

(Still hate the fact the blue guys won)

Ftfy! ;)

Just keep telling yourself how much less stressful it is to watch the playoffs when your team is out of it ... that's what I do!

:( :D

*(actually we're BOTH very much alive in the division race ... yeeesch)

He who loses the division shall win the tank. ;)

I love me some Terry McLaurin. Even the Bleacher Report parody show Gridiron Heights showed him in their episode last week.

Miami and Buffalo have the same strength-of-schedule, more or less. That final game could be the decider.

Would have been great to have the entire East have the shame of losing to a team whose owner removed the name to keep attention away from a sexual harassment scandal, but the boys in blue avoided it. (officially, the events are unrelated, but the timing and theatrics give cause for suspicion)

Wow I didn't realize they meet on week 17 .... that should be a good one!

Minus 80,000 screaming Bills fans at least ... Covid really ruined home field advantage. It could also be cold/snowy but the last few years that hasn't been so much of an issue.

There IS some truth to what I said earlier btw ... all you and I see here is a good NFL matchup. But if it were the Giants/FOOTBALL TEAM (sorry lol... they DO need a name!) it would potentially cause heart-palpitations! Note that while I have a soft spot for the Bills (the only actual NY NFL team) I still celebrate "Norwood wide-right" day every Jan 27th!

:p

EDIT: And what a dud of a MNF game so far ... ugh.

EDIT2: Nevermind the awful Jets ... The 2020 Patriots suck. Either that or Sam Darnold is actually the Jets problem?

Pats, of all teams, might screw up the Jets tank a bit tonight. If there's a guy who'd do it, it'd be Belichick. He's extremely pragmatic.

I think it's Gase that's the problem.

As close as the score is, this SHOULD be an exciting game to watch...but it's not...it's fucking boring.

Apparently the Pats suck a bit less than Gangreen ... its pretty close though. That was a real stinker all-around.

Still a win is a win.

You would really have to... especially if you've been a fan as long as I have. I've gone through periods where I didn't expect much out of them and every once in a while they would tease me by starting off a season strong and then fading and not making the playoffs. I have even given my loyalty to another team (not over the Bills but in addition to) but that team moved to a new city and they're dead to me now.

Dare I get my hopes up again just to have them dashed cruelly against the jagged rocks of defeat while knocking on the door to an AFC championship or dare I say Superbowl? They definitely need to beat KC.

Straight-up zero rooting interest involved I would say allow yourself to get excited. To my eye it looks like Allen is for real and the team is maturing quickly.

On the other hand I would temper my expectations as I think beating the Chiefs in particular will be a tall order and IF Ben gets healthy again I think the Steelers could be a problem too. Anyone else in the AFC should be a crap-shoot though. (including the Ravens and Titans)

If you told me Buffalo goes into the playoffs as a #3/#4 and wins a round I would believe it, but I don't see them winning a championship just yet.

Now WITH my (admittedly mild) rooting interest taken into account:

GO BILLS !!!!!!! :D
