i just saw it, pretty fvcked up.

Almost as bad as making a bunch of prisoners sodimize each other and making them get undressed and threatening them with a dog who intends to bite off their genitals, then taking pictures of the whole ordeal and spreading them around.

ALMOST as bad??? Wow...you're right. They only killed him...how dare we humilate someone or abuse them...and scaring them...such animals we are. We should have just killed them too. Then I suppose we'd be almost as good as them.

you do realize that to most of these hardcore muslim men, sodomy and sexual relations with another man is a mortal sin. many of them might have prefered death to that kind of abuse. just because your values dictate otherwise doesn't mean theirs do.

imagine the worse thing someone can do to you, your brothers, your children, and your family. Would that worse thing be death? IMO there are a lot worse things then death. and some of the disgusting atrocities that those red neck yokels in uniforms did might not bother you but it really pissed off those guys who murdered that man.

everyone can expect more retribution from the "terrorists" while people in the people in prisons are being treated like garbage.

and ask yourself this, if someone humliated your family like the US soliders did to those prisoners, would you want revenge? would you want retribution? would you want justice? would you want to kill someone? could you be soo angry that you would find the first one of theirs you could and cut his head off?

murdering an innocent man is never justifiable, all i am saying is that it is understandable.

The problem I had was you saying "almost as bad". To me, that implies that you think what the soldiers did was far worse then murder. Maybe thats not what you meant, but that is how it read to me.

there wasn't torture involved.
If you've seen passion of the christ.. how those ancient romans torture is 10000000000000x worse...
That wasn't even a slow painful death.

Yes it was disturbing, but no it's not the worst that can ever happen, nor does it even come close.

Thats not the point. Would it be worse for you if it were one of your loved ones?

I would not assume there was no torture, he had been detained for some time, you are only viewing the last few minutes of his captivity. Apparently it went on for several hours if the time stamps are/were accurate on the tape (I have not viewed the tape but read that information).
Well it's all very sad, I feel sympathy for his family.

That is one HORRIFIC video. If he was part of your family/loved one - i'm sure it'd make you sick.
Do not watch it if you cant handle it. So sad to see what the human race is capable of doing - and that also in the name of god.
It is simply fvcking SICK.

RIP Nick.

Totally agreed.

Just put yourself in their shoes. Really, it's not very hard. This is still the real world, remember? When you're at war with someone, anything goes.

It is certainly sad and disturbing, mostly because we're not accumstomed to that kind of thing, but listen to yourselves.. nuke 'em, kill 'em all.. You really think that's the answer? If you do, then you're no better than them.

You know... the terrorists are winning..If if is our freedom they want to destroy, are succeeding in having it taken away.

I refuse to do what terrorists want me to do by watching that vid. If they had no audience for it, they might not do it again.

Hmm. I know exactly what it will be like and although normally i'd fell compelled to watch it in this case I'm not sure I need to, because things like this just lower my opinion of humankind, and it's already low enough.

i just watched it... grasping the b/f hand while it started, until he had no circulation in it....

after watching it, it is not as gruesome as i feared it was gonna be. It was horrible, dont get me wrong, but I must have been desensitized by all the gore movies I watched as a teenager. I suppose knowing that this is real makes it worse.

I will say, however, that I have ZERO sympathy for the chicken azz terrorists. If we made the huge parts of that country a parking lot, it would not bother me one bit. I mean they are all gungho and tough, but too chicken azz to take their masks off?

:(

You see, that's the problem. Go out and nuke a country, getting 1000 terrorists and 10 000 000 innocent civilians is no answer. Not only do you kill 10 million people, but you create 10 million more terrorists.

So, what then... ?
Reason, bargaining...?

I must respectfully disagree with you... There is only one language these fvcking animals understand. It is not reasoning, or bargaining or anything else that makes sense to people with a soul.
We must agree to disagree here.
:)

So we lump together 1000 terrorists with an extra, what, 10, 20 million people? There are ways to root out terrorists, and there are better ways to persuade others. Silverpig is right, killing civilians will only serve to further the goals of idiots like these, and that must be avoided if the war against extremism is to be won.

The first 4 minutes are just the head honcho(I guess) reading from some papers.

There is something else happening there off camera at the same time, just before they do it.. you hear someone else scream, and it's sorta distracting.. you really have to listen to hear the guys noises.

it takes them about 20 seconds to kill and behead him.

I think we all should watch it to remind us what kind of people we are dealing with.
