Best way to quit WoW is just go cold turkey. I just stopped paying them and I was able to fight the addiction.

Yeah seems they gave that to all the people who quit. I got the email too. I signed up a few months back and only played for a few days before quitting. Will never sign up again (not my thing). Man W.o.W must be making an absolute killing for Blizzard. Its like the Bank of Blizzard for them.

Didn't have that effect on me. I tried to get into that game twice but just couldn't make myself keep playing.

Besides all these addiction stories, this is the reason I won't ever play WoW. There's a whole friggin' set of lingo attached to it. I'd need a WoW dictionary just to understand what anyone is talking about. No tank spanking for me.

Played it at release, ran my toon up to whatever the max level was at that time and then got bored and quit. I really didn't find it hard at all to quit, for that matter I didn't find quitting smoking to be all that big a deal either.

i haven't had any trouble quitting... coming back is fun for at most a month after a long hiatus, but after that you get bored again

i've played maybe 12 months out of the last 3 years
