Played WoW hardcore for about 9 months hardcore ... then I got burnt out & quit. Never felt the urge to go back

Now, Star Wars: Galaxies - damn, I'd kill to play the pre-CU version again :(

playing video games is never hard core.

Only part of that I understood was "play what you like" :p - That's all I need to know though, thanks.

"Respec" means you can change your characters talents for a fee that increases every time you do it. That means if you pick a Warrior and go Fury, but you decide later you want to go Arms, you can change it...you're not locked into playing the one way you choose initially.

"Alts" refer to characters aside from your "main" on that you decide to create. Basically, it means you have one character (your main) that you dedicate most of your time to, but you have alts (alternative characters) that you might play here and there. My point is that if you don't like what you roll at the beginning, you can always make another character to try out relatively easily.

lol, I am so glad that I never got into wow. I'm more of an RTS person anyway. (though I haven't even done that in a while)

Even if they gave me a month free, I doubt I would go back. I've been gone for a few years now and it just got to a point of grind for money or grind raids. It was boring and time consuming. Besides, none of my friends play and the guild I was in broke up shortly after I quit (some of the people in charge were dicks).

I did try to go back a few years ago, but being so far behind (started a new character on another server) and having no one to play with sucks. Tried to join another guild but no one ever wanted to play with me (because i was low level). I also just kept thinking that even if I do keep playing, I'll just reach that grind or raid point again and it totally turned me off.

I keep thinking I'd like to find another good mmorpg to play, but everything since has sucked ass and I still run into the same issues as I had with WoW. I think maybe I've outgrown MMORPGs...

Catering to casuals

Hey I resemble that comment.

Who wants to Arena? Who wants to Raid? Not I! I want to do BG's and quest by myself and never hit 80.

I wish one could do dungeons/raids by oneself. I'd be up for that. I hate playing with people.

Ebay that shit. Trust me, some 10 year old out there whose parents forbid him to play would benefit from this greatly.

Even better, you could sponsor him like those poor kids in fifth world countries. You wouldn't have to worry if the money is really going to him because you'd be able to follow his progress on the WoW stats site and shit. Fucking win.

Thanks for the info. I tried a warrior in game first but don't like the combat style so far. I like to click like a madman to attack, not have it auto-attack for me :D - Dunno If I can change that. Also, the attacks and hit points shown don't match up, it's like the weapon isn't synced with hitting the enemy, just random attack points pop up.
