Also, Suri isn't going to be used as much as people think because voice interfaces:

1- can't be used in every situation
2- can be embarrassing to use
3- can be disrupting to others around you

You are aware that android will soon be caught up to apple in apps right? 250K to 400K and the gap is closing every month. Anything I need is free though Android so I'll never make the switch unless iphone is more battery efficient on VZ 4g.

Talking on your phone can be disruptive to others also.

Siri will have lots of uses and will only get better. It's called innovation. Pushing it to the masses, like Ford is doing with their MySync/MyTouch systems.

Lots of people thought nobody needed a smartphone except business people and laughed at the iPhone. Now, they either have an iPhone or Andriod phone. Heck, lots of people here needed a keyboard on their phone and now where are they? Oh yeah, tapping on their touchscreen phones.

I think the main issue with voice is using it in public broadcasts what you're doing to everyone. A lot of people are uncomfortable with that.

Doesn't stop people everyday in the subway, movie theater, sidewalk from talking on their phones and annoying the hell out of everyone else.
 
It was widely anticipated that the next iPhone would be LTE-capable. Anything short of that was seen as FAIL.
 
can everyone just go back to realizing that apple products are garbage?

Paying full price for a phone doesn't mean someone isn't on contract. It could just mean they are too impatient to wait for their discount to come up again.

I don't remember it being as big of a want as a large screen. LTE is still so limited and current LTE modems are still too big and suck too much battery power to keep the iPhone's battery life as the best.

Maybe, but I've mucked around with android in the past, and quite simply, I'm not impressed.

And let me clarify, when I mean "apps," I really mean games. With android phones having a lot varying hardware, I run the risk of compatibility issues with some stuff. I'm well aware this exists even on ios, but at a lesser rate.

And since I'm not in a 4g coverage area anyway, I care very little about having the latest and greatest with the absolute best specs. Nothing against android and the phones, but I just already have a base of apps and stuff from when I owned an ipod touch a few years ago.

I'm now contract free on my wife and I phones. I really don't see an advantage here since I don't see a time I could live without either of our phones. Even if I was jobless I'd need a phone so I could get call backs from jobs. If I don't use my upgrade I could actually be losing money since I'm not getting a free $500 phone and I'm still paying att monthly fees.

Well the difference is that you're not contractually obligated to pay $100+ a month (or however much) for two years. But yea, if you're not planning on switching/canceling your service any time soon, it's stupid not to do the 2 yr contract.

Really? I like Android -- a lot. It's a decent OS with plenty to offer. The phones are great, the tablets are decent and they have a great community. I was part of that community for years myself.

So why in the world do I have to deal with my Android loving friends calling me names for wanting to buy an iPhone 4S? I don't get that. Despite the body being the same, I really want the extra horsepower to play non-converted MKV videos and have a better overall experience on my phone.

Why are hardcore Android fanboys are butthurt by a slightly upgraded 2 year old phone, when they have hardware that exceeds it by leaps. Why? Why does a 2 year old phone bother them so much?

So I want to ask a question. If Android users are the ones that have hurting bottoms, who's really the f-gg-ts here? :\

If you have an iPhone 4 and you're upgrading to an iPhone 4s you have money to burn because there really is no point to the upgrade. The value just isn't there. I think because of that we'll see far more original 4's sell due to the price drop and we'll see iPhone 5 information a lot sooner than we normally would.
 
Are they upset about iOS5 or the iPhone 4S? I don't see why any Android lover would try to blast Apple's hardware considering there are dozens of piece of crap Android units out there. I also find it dubious if they are actually blasting iOS5 since they are probably stuck with their Android on a prior release because the jerkoff manufacturers and carriers can't get their crap together and release new OS upgrades in a timely fashion once Google "actually" releases them.

People should stick to the stock complaints concerning widgets, cost of most apps, more open app store, etc.
