Really? I like Android -- a lot. It's a decent OS with plenty to offer. The phones are great, the tablets are decent and they have a great community. I was part of that community for years myself.

So why in the world do I have to deal with my Android loving friends calling me names for wanting to buy an iPhone 4S? I don't get that. Despite the body being the same, I really want the extra horsepower to play non-converted MKV videos and have a better overall experience on my phone.

I am also heavily invested in apps. I've got maybe 2 apps that are pirated on my phone, and have purchased close to a hundred dollars in apps over the last 2 years. It seems the ability to download pirate apk's is the cool thing to do, and paying makes you an idiot.

Getting the new iPhone makes sense to me. Unfortunately, since I have to purchase the phone flat out (work pays for my service) that makes me a "stupid fucking lovely human" for wanting to upgrade.

I don't think it's much money for something I'll use everyday, and enjoy for a little while. Why would I move onto an Android phone and lose the money invested in apps? Besides, I don't pay for service.

Why are hardcore Android fanboys are butthurt by a slightly upgraded 2 year old phone, when they have hardware that exceeds it by leaps. Why? Why does a 2 year old phone bother them so much?

So I want to ask a question. If Android users are the ones that have hurting bottoms, am I really the one that should be called that? :\

You want to buy an iPhone 4s? Fine. They're probably upset that there are better choices coming out in 3 weeks and you are making a mistake. They're cursing at you out of love.

What is wrong with them? Who gets worked up over a freaking phone? Give them a bitch slap and tell them to get back down into their parents basement.

Seriously who the hell is giving you crap about your phone in REAL LIFE?

You and your friends must be retarded.

OR

You let internet retards get to you too much.

I'm getting rid of my POS Fascinate to get an iPhone 4S. I think the phone is absolutely kick ass. The only two big negatives people have about it are the "it's not new" complaint, which is bs, because the only thing staying the same is the screen and the way it looks. If they put the exact same thing in a new case people would be all over it's nuts. The second issue people have is teh LTE, which was never an expectation anyways, not until they can get battery life longer and hte phones smaller.

So yeah, fuck them.

I hate my iPhone 4 so much theres no way in hell i'm buying another iPhone. Android will be my next phone after owning every generation of iPhone to date.

I don't know what is worse:
1) the hate against people who buy Apple products

or

2) the fact that some of that hate actually bothers the people who buy Apple products

Just let the little spider monkies play with their own poop.

amdhunter, what i've learned from the mobile forums on AT and the internet in general is the following...

the majority of android people really REALLY give a shit about apple people and iOS. by giving a shit about it i mean they love to talk shit about it and for some reason REALLY care when people use apple and love to put their 2 cents into everything.

the majority of the apple people really REALLY don't give a shit about android people at all. with the exception of a select few, they seem to just mind their own business and have to deal with android people always ripping them a new one.

that is just from my personal observation on this forum, and on the internet in general.

People were expecting a 4.3" screen, thinner case, 4G, and a longer battery life. What they got is a two year old phone with an updated processor that matches what other standard phones have today. Hence the drop in Apple stock yesterday. Apple releases innovations, and this seemed to be a lot of hoopla over a minor update. They gave the image of "we're no longer on top, we're struggling for ideas."

The new iOS 5 didn't impress either: it's main hallmark Suri (voice command) is viewed in the same light as Facetime...cool to show off, but nobody really uses it.

The new iPhone is being viewed as a stopgap to keep relevant among competitors with more advanced products. I was waiting to see what they released because I want to buy an iPhone for my daughter for Christmas. I'll probably just get her an upgraded older model for $99.

You know, there was a time when we didn't have cell phones and didn't have such problems. If it weren't for the fact that work requires me to have a BB ...

This is probably what really happened:

1. Friends jokingly call Amdhunter a stupid lovely human.
2. Amd thinks to himself "sweet! now I got something to post about on ATOT"
3. Amdhunter makes this thread pretending he was seriously butthurt by his friends calling him a (refer to 1.)

I will never go smaller than a 4.3" display again... but I don't care too much with what OS my phone runs, though I'm pretty happy with Android. But I don't care what people think about what phone I buy, and I'm not sure why anyone would care about people who worry about such things.

I have an android (mytouch 4g). My fiancee got it for me for my birthday. Honestly, it's nice, but I do think the iphone is easier to use out of the box. My biggest issue with the phone is the big button on the bottom. If you are on the phone screen, it actually makes a phone call when you push the button. I am used to the big button being a "previous page" button or something. I am sure there is a way to disable it, I just do not know how.

Phandroids are the most annoying people ever. Personally, I'll wait for iPhone 5, as my iPhone is still going strong. And devs are already working on porting Siri over to iPhone 4, which is really the only reason to go for the 4S.

Siri is so far ahead of anything google has that its ridiculous.
