We've got a snow day tomorrow, plus Tues/Wed/Thurs next week. The car dealership by my house has a pile almost 20 feet high now 😀

16 inches of snow on the ground from the first wave earlier in the week. Started snowing again this morning about 9:30 and we're supposed to get a bit over 2 inches today. Snow in the forecast every day except Monday and the NWS is saying by next Friday we will have an additional 7.7 inches of snowfall.

i think it would be hilarious if they had to delay the SB because of the power issues

Or better yet, moved it to someplace else...

I saw this and immediately thought of ATOT:

They just upped our total for today to between 4 and 6 inches. Total for the upcoming week is 11.2 inches of new snowfall.

Woo hoo

Makes me regret wasting 24 hours of vacation the week after christmas just cause. I didn't do anything, but it'd be nice to have that time back for now :|

we are getting hit with another one of those lake effect snowsqualls.

Good God, I hate snow.

It took me an hour to get home from work that normally takes 20 mins.

lets just hope I don't get a repeat of this:

PS: that's my red car in the center right.

Hmm got close to another 6 inches here today. This time the weather guy underestimated the amount, supposedly we were getting 1-3 inches, then whoops sorry whiteout conditions and we got 5-6 inches instead....

i was not a fan of getting that much snow again :colbert:

another shoveling last night and again this morning i had to touch up the base of my driveway because the plow pushed a pretty decent amount there. the last thing you want is that stuff hardening.

*shakes fist at snow*

we got about 4 more inches yesterday that was forcasted as a dusting

luckily the accumulation we were supposed to get today so far is just a dusting

Supposed to be near 70 here today...I'll probably have some doors and windows open during the game today...

It's 41 here in Beantown so that means we are getting a big melt. Unofrtunately it'll be below freezing tonight so all the streets and sidewalks will be iced over making it dangerous to drive or even walk.

I live in central Missouri. I'm student teaching this semester at a rural school. We haven't been in session since last Monday. We got about 5 inches of ice/snow, then another 2-3 inches from the storm Friday. The rural roads are still iceblocks. This is nuts.

That is all.

Fuck snow. Just fuck it. I've got so much of this god damn bullshit it isn't funny. I'm exhausted from cleaning off my roof after snow blowing molasses wet garbage from the last thundersnow fall. Did that sentence even make sense? I don't even know anymore. There's still snow on the top tier of my roof, I can't get that...if it collapses the roof I'll just burn the rest of my house down and move to Texas. The town plow was kind enough to plow my mailbox off the pole for me, I had to dig for my mail. Nothing like digging a hole and cobbling a mailbox back together while cars whiz by at the top of a blind hill.

I need a thaw bad. Instead I get 3-6" followed by "snow showers" for the rest of the week. Where is my god damn global warming? I was promised a warm globe. I wish a weatherman was here, so I could punch him in his god damn throat. I know he doesn't make the weather but he's the closest thing to a personification of the weather that I can blame and punch.

It was 72F here this afternoon...but supposed to drop into the 50's for the next couple of days...I almost feel bad for the folks who keep getting hammered by snow and ice...almost.

Of course, in 4-5 months...it'll be 100+ here every fucking day...and my electric bill will be well over $300/month...and I'll be wishing we had some of that cold, snow, and ice...even if only for a few days.

Yup. I don't even pay attention to weather reports any more - I KNOW it's going to snow or sleet or freeze every few days now. No place to put the snow and ice any more. Just going through the motions.

We got another few inches here yesterday and again today, but I salted the driveway & sidewalk yesterday since the packed snow was starting to ice up and surprisingly most of what fell today melted right away - only a few spots with an inch or two of snow. As much as I hate the cold, I'm looking forward to the next 3 days of single-digit temps because I know it'll be too cold to snow.

It's been almost a week since the big storm hit, and there's still a 6 foot tall pile of snow extending a good 6 feet off the curb in the front of my house. I had to jump in and dig my mailbox out (luckily it's just weighted at the bottom and not permanently placed) and put it next to the drive way so the mail man can at least get to it. It was still a challenge for him today because there's still all that snow in the road right next to where my driveway is cleared out, so not really room to pull up to it and then drive away, but at least you can actually access the mailbox now. I'm not sure at this point if the city thinks I'm suppose to do something with the two dump truck loads of snow still on the street in front of my house or what, not to mention all the other roads they left the same way. Go figure, up until a few years ago they always ended up tearing up sod 2 feet past the curb. Not surprisingly, they did much the same thing to fix the problem... nothing.
