We got another few inches here yesterday and again today, but I salted the driveway & sidewalk yesterday since the packed snow was starting to ice up and surprisingly most of what fell today melted right away - only a few spots with an inch or two of snow. As much as I hate the cold, I'm looking forward to the next 3 days of single-digit temps because I know it'll be too cold to snow.
It's been almost a week since the big storm hit, and there's still a 6 foot tall pile of snow extending a good 6 feet off the curb in the front of my house. I had to jump in and dig my mailbox out (luckily it's just weighted at the bottom and not permanently placed) and put it next to the drive way so the mail man can at least get to it. It was still a challenge for him today because there's still all that snow in the road right next to where my driveway is cleared out, so not really room to pull up to it and then drive away, but at least you can actually access the mailbox now. I'm not sure at this point if the city thinks I'm suppose to do something with the two dump truck loads of snow still on the street in front of my house or what, not to mention all the other roads they left the same way. Go figure, up until a few years ago they always ended up tearing up sod 2 feet past the curb. Not surprisingly, they did much the same thing to fix the problem... nothing.
