That is a different thread. Are we supposed to dig up times when you've lost it and use that as an excuse to be disrespectful to you now? Of course not. That was in the past.

In Alabama trucks are supposed to the stay to the right and other vehicles are supposed to stay in the center or left lanes.
Secondly, the part about the trucks is LAW because there are signs that say trucks must be in the left lane. If you read the law it says a traffic control device/sign is the defacto protocol for that section of highway.

#1- The original poster was not in Alabama
#2- I am not in Alabama
#- The people that I was replying to were not in Alabama
Next thing you know, someone will be posting laws for Germany or Bangledesh.... all of which mean about as much to a California driver as Alabama laws do.

You admit breaking the law, but you dont realize a crash due to you speeding will involve not just you but others as well.....and delay my drive to/from work because they will close down lanes

Law for AL
Secondly, the part about the trucks is LAW because there are signs that say trucks must be in the left lane. If you read the law it says a traffic control device/sign is the defacto protocol for that section of highway. Unless the sign says to stay out of the left lane there is NO restriction. It VARYS by state. I am sure GA, CA, TX and other states have different versions of laws. Don't you think so?

Wrong, if that person was doing 75-80 I wouldn?t flash for her to move instead I would drive behind her. Don?t forget road rage start by some deciding to play a cop and keep other people from going faster then you think they should go.

Ok, we'll talk Alabama law for a minute.
stay to the right except when passing
"Upon all roadways any vehicle proceeding at less than the normal speed of traffic at the time and place and under the conditions then existing shall be driven in the right-hand lane then available for traffic, or as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway, except when overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction or when preparing for a left turn at an intersection or into a private road or driveway."

Ok, we'll stick to Alabama law since that's what you seem to want to discuss.
Here's a law for you:
Read this one
Overtaking vehicle on left.
The following rules shall govern the overtaking and passing of vehicles proceeding in the same direction, subject to those limitations, exceptions and special rules hereinafter stated:
(1) The driver of a vehicle overtaking another vehicle proceeding in the same direction shall pass to the left thereof at a safe distance and shall not again drive to the right side of the roadway until safely clear of the overtaken vehicle.
(2) Except when overtaking and passing on the right is permitted, the driver of an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle on audible signal and shall not increase the speed of his vehicle until completely passed by the overtaking vehicle.
(Acts 1980, No. 80-434, p. 604, §3-103.)
As you can see, the overtaken vehicle must yield to the overtaking vehicle. This is the rule, not the exception!

Once again you are making personal attacks at me when instead you should be simply addressing what I wrote.
This applies to the passing lane law in that several different rules state that you must stay to the right. Just because the wording does not say "Millenium, you cannot drive in the passing lane" does not mean that the law doesn't effectively state that fact. As with many laws, the evidence you're looking for is often circumstantial.
These laws in effect say that:
"Upon all roadways any vehicle proceeding at less than the normal speed of traffic at the time and place and under the conditions then existing shall be driven in the right-hand lane then available for traffic, or as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway, except when overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction or when preparing for a left turn at an intersection or into a private road or driveway"
"Except when overtaking and passing on the right is permitted, the driver of an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle on audible signal and shall not increase the speed of his vehicle until completely passed by the overtaking vehicle."
As is often the case with laws, it may not be stated directly (the way you want to see it), and may be stated circumstantially, but in effect that IS the case.

I am quite familiar with all the Alabama traffic laws and I do not need a lecture on what they mean.

You say I am personally attacking you, yet you refuse to respond to any of my points. All you are doing is being pigheaded and trying to interpret a non-applicable law to you situation. I have addressed every point you have made. You have refused to address mine. Even when I null your position you return with something else that you think applies. Try actually debating instead of being pigheaded. What Public Safety training do you have?
