maybe my memory is warped by being 14 when it aired and Susan Sumers and Joyce Dewitt but it wasn't that bad, not as bad as some other translations. and it did last longer than the original.

In any event it's very very rare that a remake surpasses the original particularly when talking about UK --> US remakes.

BTW, The Inbetweeners is one of the funniest shows I have ever watched. I usually hate awkward comedy, and there's plenty of sections I just have to look away, but the rest of the time its fucking hilarious! "..and I compared a girl to a giant cock-sucking American landmark" lmfao. Season 3 doesn't seem to be as good as season 2 for me, which I think so far is the funniest, but it's still incredibly entertaining. If you guys are enjoying these other shows then I guarantee you'll love this one!
 
been catching up on Inbetweeners as well. simon's catwalk scene in series 3, episode 1 was epic. i can't believe some of the stuff they get away with on UK tv.

Told ya, it's awesome isn't it, I can't believe that you can't show that stuff in america!... Loved the show. They are doing two specials and a film and thats it. 🙁
 
Saw this on Netflix Instant a few days ago, watched series 1 episode 1.

It was really boring. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be comedy or drama. It was just sort of stuff happening to people, but none of it was exciting, interesting, or funny.

Also it's a drama, with comedy aspects.

I FINALLY wrapped up season 4.

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Somehow this show provokes emotions in me towards the characters that I don't feel for people in REAL life.

That ending could simply not have been better. TOTALLY blown away.

If you want to be right up to date with awesome shows from the UK maybe watch Being Human next. But If I were you Misfits asap.
 
Reading the "Skins" book right now.
Covers between season 3 and 4. I feel like a 16yr old girl doing it though. Quite embarrassing on the bus I might add. All in all its Ok though.

That's the MTV version which is horrible.
The British version (currently in season 5) is good stuff. If you like that kinda stuff.
