She should file a sexual harassment suit against him for looking down her shirt.

My sister works at an office job. She wears business-like attire for women. Well today she got a memo and complaint filed against her that her shirt was too revealing. It wasn't a plunging v-neck or anything. It just looks like a wider neck shirt but by no means you see any skin when she is standing upright. My sister had to bend over and put something on guy's desk and he filed a complaint that he could see her bra when he looked into it. Well DUH. Unless a woman is wearing a burqa or a turtleneck (sp?) of course you can see her bra if she bends over.

WTF? Who (especially a guy) would complain about that anyways... god people have nothing else better to do. Now she is all upset about it.

turn about is fair play...she should not be showing her bra at work.

Its about time men stuck up for their rights and put an end to the hostile work environment.

Filing a complaint was appropriate. It is the only way that standards for appropriate business attire (sp?) can be maintained.

Let the prick sink his own career as well as the company.

Better yet use the memo against him by sending it to whatever agency looks after labour violations. Assuming they are anything like the MOL here in Canada it will probably take 6 months to a year to process and the guy is gona be on a state or national file for sexual harassment.

If anyone with a sense of self respect has had this happend to them before by this ahole I bet it isn't the only complaint on file.

If the agency looking after this gets enough complaints (handful is enough to burry them in work) then they will prosecute.

I kid you not. Sadly most people don't go through the hassle and aholes like this get away with it.

As soon as the investigation starts the little prick is going to be called into the boss' office and will get a chance to resign or stay and get fired if it turns out to be true. If they keep him they tarnish the company rep and I'm betting that's worth more than the work he does.

Justice can be sweet, but it sure aint swift.

Unless you hire someone to castrate him in his sleep. =p

I would. That kind of clothing simply isn't appropriate for work. There are plenty of tops out there that are not revealing even if you bend over.

Wait, bend over to put something on someone else's desk?? Nobody bends over to simply put something on a guy's desk. Reach down, sure. But bend over? What, does this guy use the floor for his desk?

SHUT UP NIK. All you do is bitch. You are just disagreeing to be contrary. From the picture the guy posted it is obvious that her clothing wasn't out of line. I guess my 5th grade teacher was coming on to me, because I remember she bent over my desk to look at a paper one day and I saw her bra completely. OMG SEXUAL HARASSMENT OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you suggesting that if a woman wore a 'normal' shirt, and I saw her cleavage (assume similar situation to the OP), and she noticed that I looked, she COULDN'T claim SH against me?

I didn't say anything about what she could or couldn't claim. Learn to read and you will see that.
No, you BSed around the topic by show how 'rediculous' it is that he filed a report and how that could have applied to your 5th grade teacher. I countered with how REAL it is, that she could have filed one against him, and he could be protecting himself. To suggest that he may have been protecting himself and following that with reasonable thought isn't being contrary, it's being logical.

I also asked a question, I didn't say you had a opinion, thats why it's a question, I don't know what you think. Read what I wrote before, you throw the book of reading comprehension at me, because you missed the point of my post.

You also didn't answer, so in my scenario, could she claim SH against me?

I don't work at your company. Furthermore, where is the proof that she saw him look? You are creating a what-if situation that isn't applicable to what actually happened to the OP's sister. We could throw out what-ifs all night.

if he saw her bra, he was looking somewhere he shouldn't have, regardless of how her shirt was cut.

given that, i would do what has been suggested countless times - file a sexual harassment complaint with HR. if this guy is going to be an asshole, then she has every right to be a feminazi back.

oh yeah - start looking for a new job, too...this is only going to get worse.

The people who thinks a shirt like that is unreasonable should try to start up a little nation of their own and get mulla Omar for their president(well mulla, I guess).
Some people in this thread sound like freking Talibans, please don't reproduce.
