You're a pre-med? Hmmm I figured you were a med student or resident physician from your comments about having 2 years experience in the field.
Two years as an ER Technician, recently "promoted" to NA in the ICU. Funny how, once again, your assumptions about me were wrong. This seems to be a trend...
funny how you relish that "Dr" in your name and how you like to spew off medical advice and terminologies. ER techs and NAs provide a very valuable service, but let's not get carried away.
Not getting carried away, helping out with basic problems. Most problems discussed here are in the realm of easily diagnosable problems, and anyone with a couple years experience in the medical field could help them out. I'm not claiming I know how to perform open-heart surgery or place a femoral swan, and I sure as hell will concede that I don't know something when I don't. But, if I can give advice to a person, what the hell does it matter if I haven't completed those four years of training, most of the time I end up telling them to go to
their doctor.
And as to my name, that's my nickname at the hospital. All the people at the 7S ICU call me Doc or Noobie, because I spend so much of my free time following the docs around and working with them on case reports.
You don't like me, that's fine. But you really don't have basis for it.
