Don't be shy - post your GPA, accomplishments, affiliations, medals/awards, etc.

I'll start: you'll laugh ;) I'm just curious.

I, for one, am not it.
HS GPA: 4.1 (9th in class)
College GPA: 2.7 ;)

Most of my accomplishments were in HS...

I did start our HS' chapter of GATE, Computer Club, Stock Club, Lions Club. Was an editor for the school paper as well. Got a BofA award for art (not the performing kind, but the other one), awards from Academic Olympics and Decathlon, worked 30hrs/week, and played HS football.

College is where everything went downhill

As I tell my kids: "Daddy knows everything"

So, since I know everything, I win.

Graduated with a 2.9 GPA, got a great paying job, and no longer give two sh*ts about it. Only wish I would have taken after Van Wilder a bit more and stuck around campus just for fun.

There are several of us with PhDs or ABDs (PhD is almost finished, All But Dissertation). Me I'm a ABD with 3 weeks to go. So there are lots here who are academically accomplished. I personally wouldn't say that makes a person smart.

I'm too humble to brag online about grades and awards.

That all depends on how an individual defines the term "accomplished". Someone who has a PhD can say he or she is academically accomplished, yet, he or she works at a flower shop delivering flowers (I know one who has a PhD in History). Now, some may look at him and think of him as a failure because his life sums up to something very little aside from the PhD.

High School:
*High School GPA: 3.9/4.0 Top 20%
*36 Science ACT/ 34 Overall
*1470 SAT

College:
*College GPA: 4.0 after 45 credit hours

And just like always, there will be someone more achieved. You can never be at the top, because the definition of the top is constantly changing.

Nope, I'm a premed sophmore who's currently studying for the MCATs, but I can give you the advice I was told by my co-workers at the hospital.

Get a job at a hospital as an ER technician or the like, or volunteer at one. It looks really good on the med school application, and it will help you to make sure you really want to do medicine. Make sure you keep the GPA as high as you can, and get in good with your professors (especially the science professors) as you'll need good recommendations. Also, make sure you begin studying for the MCATs at least a year before taking them (should be at the end of you junior year).

You can PM Mallow or Blastomyces for more info. Mallow's in med school (I believe), and Blastomyces is an 1st-year surgical intern.

EDIT: Presentation
