Yah, rice boys think they know what cars are all about; it's not about clear taillights and 8 fog lamps, that's fer sure. They need to grow up.

8 fog lights!!! I love it. What about those neon lights shining down on the ground? Aren' those the sh#t?

I prefer the old days, with a $5000 car and a $200 stereo, not a $200 car with a $5000 stereo.

Not that there are no fast japanese cars, I drove a @92 RX-7 with the twin turbo setup, and that was pretty fast, but they are an exception to the rule.

There's nothing like the feeling of doing 165 mph down an empty stretch of highway.....

Suicidal - picture this: 2000 Neon, bright whites, single-wiper conversion, exhaust and a bangin sound system (and that's it apparently). He pulls up behind me and looks at me through my rearview - I shake my head as if to say "you don't wanna make a fool outta yourself like this" but he still wanted to play. I dunno what he had under the hood - but it wasn't much that's for damn sure. I mean, I have no prob with making your car stand out - but don't think you're gonna hang just because of that. Although I enjoy semi-sleeper status, it still gets more fun everytime I mess with someone :)

I like fast cars, but I hate the noisy ones... My little brother modded my car and added this muffler thingy and a better air filter (that takes more O2?) Anyway, the pickup/acceleration is great, but makes this really big *vrooom* sound that gets old. I eventually get a headache after driving the car!

imo, jsut because a car is fast doesn't mean that it is a sports car or even a great car. a car must have all of the typical traits like power, speed, handling, braking, and driveability. i think thats what makes a great car.

i would love a fast car..however, i would love a car which is somewhat fast but handles like a F1.

Guess I'm the only one here who doesn't really give a damn about acceleration. I'll take cargo hauling ability over acceleration and speed any day.

I have raced a lot of Porsche Boxster owners. Those are my favorite people to race. They think just because they have an expensive Miata, they are going to beat me. Luckily, I am there to re-educate them.

I usually get in races with either Boxsters or Mustangs. They almost always are the ones challenging me. And I have yet to lose, but I suspect they are usually just fearful of driving fast. Here in San Jose, I usually race people down Lawrence Expressway and I can get up to 120mph or so pretty quickly.

Anyhow, I am sure more people are going to want to race me once I put my new exhaust and EEPROM in my car. And I am sure I will have some good stories to offer then.

Napalm, my daily driver is a 96 Dodge 3/4 ton truck. The poor thing won't go over 95mph at any time, but it would haul a house down the freeway at that speed. This doesn't mean that I can't have a fast car too, does it?

Why do those guys trick out their economy cars? I suppose when mom and dad get you a Neon, you have to make the best of it.

I have smoked a lot of little mustang and camaro owners in my time and the best part about it is I drive an Oldsmobile and of course since Olds never mad any fast cars (according to most uninformed punks) it's fun to show them just how sweet it is to have 462ci under the hood and 4:10s in the rear of my "Grandfathers Olds". :)

I got to spend about five hours behind the wheel of a BMW 540i over Spring Break. Not only was I able to swing the back out (oversteer) taking turns at 40mph in downtown San Francisco, I also took it up to 115mph driving between Sacramento and San Francisco. I had fun ;)

Will not have anything else. Acceleration and good handlding also adds to a cars safety if used correctly.

Cant drive like Id like to here in Fl. but it sure doesnt stop the idiots with their POS cars from doing so. Dont mind if they kill themselves, just dont want them to take me with them.

Well its not really a fast race type thing that happened to me. I was just trying to go to work. I was driving a 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. Some guy in a little red car would not get out of the way and he was going too slow on the freeway. The 2 lanes to the right both exited off of highway 26 onto highway 217. Its a fairly sharp corner to the right. I proceeded to pass him on the inside lane because he wouldnt yeild right of way and when he saw me change lanes he sped up. Since his car actually had to travel faster than my truck to keep up with me since he was on the outside he lost control of his car and spun into about 3 360's and almost hit the retaining wall. I wished he had. When we rounded the corner I expected him to be right next to me but he was gone. Low and behold I look into my rearview mirror to see this car spinning out of control. I laughed my a$$ off.
