Thats assault. While she attempted to kick him, he moved out of the way and was in no danger. Plus we don't know what he may have said to her either.

Yes. I feel no pity for the woman, probably deserved it, but that behavior was out of line nonetheless.

Good for her. He should have kicked her harder. I bet she thought she could get away with assualting an officer because she's a woman.

Most men know any aggression towards a cop = beatdown. She got off way too easy.

Dunno. I was brought up to never hit a woman and seen some my dad dished out to my mom. To me such a person is lower than snake shit. Id rather let a woman kick the snot out of me than lift a hand in any situation. But thats just me. Everyone has their own believes and outlook.

She attacked the officer first knowing that she was hand cuffed already. She deserved what he did and more.

Typical ATOT Response: Cop should have used deadly force, she deserves it.

Get real.

Haha yeah, but she should also be charged with being a dumbshit for trying to start a fight with both her hands literally tied behind her back. I mean what exactly did she think was going to happen?

I think a few days of as disciplinary action would've been appropriate.

If someone did that to my wife for any reason I wouldn't stop until their career was ended.

I would hazard to guess that your wife wouldn't have had to be forcible removed from a place by the cops in the 1st place.

Would like to see the video from inside the casino.

I would have stepped back, asked my partner to get the leg irons and hogged tied her. I see it done all the time on cops when people attempt to fight the police after being handcuffed.

This cop was a douche and needs to lose his job. His suspect was already subdued and was in no way a threat to him. Would he kick a toddler in the face for slapping at him?

This is perfectly fine. This teaches the public you don't strike someone just because you feel like it. If you do, you get smacked down. So the NEXT time you are in a situation like that, HOPEFULLY you won't kick a cop and there won't be an incident at all. Easily solved.

ATOT always scream, "common sense." Well the common sense thing to do here is NOT KICK A COP. If there was no attack, there would be no retaliation. I'm not defending someone that fucking can't control themselves. And this would go for ANYONE, not just when a cop is involved. If she did this to a normal guy, she should be punched in the face. It's not a matter of, "oh, he could of stepped back, or he could of just blocked the kick." FU, she should not have attacked someone in the first place! And people that go unchecked are people that will continue with their bad behavior. In this situation, the cop was just putting her in check.

I see, your wife can attack someone whenever she feels like it, and when the other person reacts, it's the other person's fault. Got it.

What you SHOULD do is have a talk with your wife like a little kid and say, "you don't hit people."

The woman didn't attack 'someone', she attacked a police officer. A police officer is held, quite rightly, to a far higher standard than 'someone' is due to the power that society has handed to them.

While the woman got what she deserved, that does not excuse the officer's behavior. He was in no danger, he sidestepped her weak kick. His retaliation was a bit on the too much side.

This action would have landed the cop in jail in America. It was unlawful the cops retaliation despite anything the apologists like guyver say. In fact, it was unlawful where it was done in Rhode Island. The cop was suspended, fired, found guilty and sentenced. guyver01, grow the fuck up and learn what is legal and what is not.

EDIt read wrong news story orginally, but still correct outcome
