Why reward him with a Voodoo 3 ??
Give him the original Voodoo. I heard Quake I looks great on it.

YOU ARE NOT HIS MOM. YOU CAN NOT TAKE HIS STUFF AWAY BECAUSE YOU FEEL LIKE IT. THAT IS REFERRED TO AS "STEALING".

Maybe he should take your car away next time he catches you breaking the speed limit?

So true..half of them prolly dont remember what it was like to be a kid or half prolly didnt have big brother!

Right...

Doesn't matter whether or not its about the grades at this point. First off, if I was your big brother, I'd be sure to punch out every last one of your little teeth for posting crap about me like you did to him. Besides, you're getting them worked on in Europe, right? A little extra work won't matter. You not being able to talk much for a while wouldn't be too bad, either, I bet.

Secondly, your grades do suck. If/when your grades are where they SHOULD be, and he is STILL keeping your computer, THEN you have something to whine about. Until then, deal with it and stop being such a pathetic whiner. Maybe when you're not 12, or 16 or whatever you are, you won't have these problems - until then, get used to it.

EDIT:
I am here by calling this thread to be closed!! I dont want anyone else to reply to it.

HAHAHA...yeah, anyway...

He flat out GAVE you six hundred bucks toward your computer? That's 40% of the cost. Maybe he should have just ripped out 40% of the parts...

LOL, this thread almost make me spit my pop through my nose. It sound like your brother is a little harsh with the situation, but part of the intention isn?t bad. Ask your brother to help with your home work, and prove to him that you are capable of doing work on your own.

You should be thankful to have a big brother to pick on you and take care of you when you are in need. Idon?t understand what it is like to have a big brother to pick on me, but being hen picked by 5 big/little sisters is horrible.

Here's an idea: give it back to him, but with the user account on it only having word, excel, you know, the basics. Then disable the internet connection

Problem solved, I bet his grades would go up as well,

Fake edit - I like the 40% part removal idea, simple, yet effective.

No, my parents took my COmp out of my room a few years back (actually more like 6), cause i was on it ocnstantly, i could still use it, but the monitored my usage. It really helped wtih getting HomeWrok done etc. Once my work and stufying was done, i could play.

honestly i say let him have it, however if you are in the position to lock the computer (and unlock it for him) nightly, password protect it at bootup and then ONLY after he has studied for at least one hour that night unlock the computer for him.

Just a fix, also if you cannot unlock it for him every night but can lock it every morning then change the password daily and give it to him at a certain time after someone verifies that he has stuidied for an hour

just a thought

Good brother, your place to take the item away only because of your help financing it
also, you're brother definately wont think too highly of you for a while for taking away his BA system

Yeah...if your parents have given up on him..you are his only hope. Tell him it isn't too late, that education is important..etc etc...

If he ends up doing better he will appreciate you.

No way, i went through a similar phase of "all i do is sit on my azz on the computer". and let me tell you, it set me back a few years socially and academically. take it away, and give him a crappy computer with no internet so he can just type papers. Im tellign you, you'll be doing him a favor in the long run!

Kid (if this is not ariel) if you have video cards that are capable of running HL2 then sell the little bastards, you could get plenty of money from them. Not like you will be able to build your own system but it's still money. (A little off topic but hey, this is off topic right?)

You suck too much to get your stuff back. I didn't fail any class in high school and I barely spoke English. It's true that I'll always want someone to bag my groceries and make my tacos, but it doesn't have to be you.

I actually got enjoyment out of reading your replies and stuff :). I know what you guys mean about the diciplin and grades and what not but i thought i got off that topic a few posts back. Most of you in here are saying that it is the right thing that he has my PC because of my grades in school but im not concerned about that anymore. Sure i should be punished for that and try harder in school but im talking about the times where i AM doing good in school and he takes stuff away from me. Im telling you guys that he OPENLY admitted to enjoy taking stuff from me just because he can. I dont think that a brother should do that!

Wow this is great. :beer::D

sirplayalot: I know it's not about the grades, but do yourself a favor and let it go and get yourself together. Computers are fun yeah, but not at the expense of your grades. And we are talking about high school here, wtf are you gonna do when you drop out? Just cause you like to play some fvcking game. Grades gotta come first. I sound like some old fart but believe me it's the truth. And what I get from your posts is that you really don't give a fvck that you did make 3 F's, you just want your damn rig. I remember what it's like to be 15, but I also remember what it's like after you fvck up your school unfortunately and believe me you don't want to go there. Go outside, kick a ball around with some peoples, beat off, and start actually working for your grades. Fvck your brother, you need to be worried about yourself.

OP: Are you his parents? Is he your offspring? I see that they need to get more involved, but you are still a brother. Help your brother, but
its not your place to be dealing out punishments. If you have his PS2 and it's his, give it back. You're a fvckin ass for taking his sh!t if it isn't yours. I'd be pissed too. Sounds like you two definitely have some issues, and mom and pop should be in the scene.

My IMO:

Keep the darn computer away, besides CS:S is such a crappy game. But now that i actually read the posts just give it back, can't let the rig go to waste.

Besides that:

I didn't study for more than the time i had to get between classes and flew through HS with a 3.0, and slept in half my classes. Go slackers!!!

edit: if he keeps taking your stuff put on a ninja costume and replace his car with one that is made out of soap.
