The fact that sirplayalot lost his computer certainly hasn't hindered him from posting here.

Wow, thats actually a really creative idea. I never would have thought of giving it back piece by piece. Im frightened by what you could come up with for punishments ;)

sirplayalot: I know it's not about the grades, but do yourself a favor and let it go and get yourself together. Computers are fun yeah, but not at the expense of your grades. And we are talking about high school here, wtf are you gonna do when you drop out? Just cause you like to play some fvcking game. Grades gotta come first. I sound like some old fart but believe me it's the truth. And what I get from your posts is that you really don't give a fvck that you did make 3 F's, you just want your damn rig. I remember what it's like to be 15, but I also remember what it's like after you fvck up your school unfortunately and believe me you don't want to go there. Go outside, kick a ball around with some peoples, beat off, and start actually working for your grades. Fvck your brother, you need to be worried about yourself.

OP: Are you his parents? Is he your offspring? I see that they need to get more involved, but you are still a brother. Help your brother, but
its not your place to be dealing out punishments. If you have his PS2 and it's his, give it back. You're a fvckin ass for taking his sh!t if it isn't yours. I'd be pissed too. Sounds like you two definitely have some issues, and mom and pop should be in the scene.

Dayum. :p

That was a very beautiful post :) I am very woried about my grades and i understand that its more important then a stupid computer or a stupid computer game. Im just mad at the fact that he takes some of my stuff just to make me mad, i dont think that he should :).

YOU are WORRIED about your grades???????? thats the funniest thing i have yet to read. and try telling the truth about the financials of the pc. you put in exactly ZERO dollars, and my brother, sister and I helped put the system together. Since then, ALL you've been doing is getting home from school at 3:50 PM, and sitting at the computer until 2 AM. no schoolwork at all. if you are that worried about your grades, try studying for even ONE hour. and like they said, if you need any help studying/doing your work, let me know!! I graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA. and so what if i dropped out of college, i run my own business and am more than financially stable you dumb*ss. when you get to be where i'm at, then you can drop out of school!

and by the way, my brother said he doesnt know why i posted this, the reason i posted this is because he said that nobody in their right minds would agree with me or what i did, and when i mentioned a poll, he said "go ahead, and see that you are wrong!"

as far as the ps2 goes, although i dont feel i need to justify any actions here, he purchased it with money received by trading in the older playstation 2 which I paid for.

sirplayalot - Dude, you got some messed up priorities. You should be glad that you have somebody in your family, be it a mother or father or a brother, who is concerned about your scholastic well-being. Do you really like the idea of being known as a loser who can not pass simple high school classes and spends their entire time playing computer games? Is that something you are proud of???
If you can not get your ass in gear and pass high school classes, the real world is going to eat you alive and none of that CS you have been playing will help you at all.

no need to take the pc completely away from him. wait till school start again and then take it away from him at 8pm everyday. if he doesn't study after 8pm one night, he doesn't get the computer the next day. policing sucks, but it'll help him out. i think.

Damn man, just get the fvcking grades up and quit b!tching about what your brother is doing

Get grades up and if he is still taking things away, buy them with your money fully. How much of it did he pay for upfront?

I thinks it's obvious you can't really say anything until you get rid of his biggest excuse, grades

Once you deal with that, then worry about the other issue

Give him all his things back and don't compare yourself with him, it's a complete waste of time, it's his life, let him fvck it up

woah woah woah...Last i checked you FRIED your PS2 trying to put a modchip in it? Then i got a PS2 from one of my friends (MY OWN MONEY) and me and my cousin got ANOTHER PS2 from my other friend wich we traded in to get a PSTwo...anyway...Lets talk about another thing, yesterday he comes up to me and he says "i think im going to reformat your PC". After i said no a thousand times we stop talking about it, i wake up today to have my brother tell me that he already reformated my PC with him KNOWING THAT I DIDNT WANT THE PC TO BE REFORMATED! I have a lot of stuff on there that he didnt save. Why on earth would you need to reformat my PC if you are only taking it to try to help me out in school? Doesnt really make sense to me...seems you are using it to piss me off.

I rest my case about the PS2...

If you give it to him it will only teach him that he can leach off of you. Today it's the computer, tomorrow it's a couple hundred bucks so he can buy more dope. Make him earn.

The only reason why i would say give it back is if he bought all the parts (which i doubt) then i would say give it back to him a piece at a time until his grades improve or you run out of pieces.

I'd reformat the air in your bro's tires, but then again I was always a vindictful child. Put a lock on your door or chain that crap down.

Seriously though, you do need to work on your grades. High school is one of the easiest classes of all, AP classes not included.

I understand about my situation in school. What im saying is regardless of weather i have the PC or not im still going to try hard. Actually having the PC around makes it much easier for me to concentrate (its like with people and music) but again..Even if i dont have bad grades he takes sh!t away from me. (kinda like last year). I really dont know why he started this thread.

Yeah, CS:S helps a lot of people concentrate. :disgust: You've gotta be kidding me...

And no, you're not going to try equally as hard with the same distractions around you, nor do you deserve the benefit of the doubt from what's been said thus far.

This isnt even about my PC anymore..its about him and me and his stupid passion for taking things away from me...

How are you posting without your PC?

Give him back the PC....along with a bill for all the parts you paid for. Perhaps he can "pay" it back with grades. Assuming your parents are even remotely involved in your lives, I'm sure they'd agree to something like that.

Fvck that, the kid is obviously a spoiled douche. I've gotten A's through high school so far (I'm a sophomore, but we're on a block schedule so I've taken 12 classes to this point) and I spend ungodly amounts of time on the computer (look at my Xfire numbers if you don't believe me heh). However, in the past month I may have played 5 hours of games altogether at best due to all the time I've spent focusing on school.

Basically what I'm saying is fvck him. Pawn the computer for at least some money, and make him get his own. If he goes at this rate he'll be fvcked in the real world too. I don't get any kinds of rewards for my grades but I know that the reward in the long run is that I'll be a helluva lot richer than my parents are now.

First of all..how the hell have you been posting with no computer???

Secondly, your brother is 21 and you are 15? You shouldn't be arguing about grades/computers. Your parents should be the ones handing out the punishment while your older brother looks out for you and buys you alcohol when you need it :D. However, it seems as though I was exactly in your shoes at one point and let me tell you playing Counter-Strike and the like is addicting and it WILL ruin your grades to a certain extent. Making grades up in summer school isn't going to help...you need to focus on your studies and also enjoy your youth. On the other hand, as I said, your brother should not be the one handing out punishments to you - your parents need to get more involved in your school work it seems like (and, if anything, that's what your brother should be focused on doing - talking to your parents about making sure you do better in class)
