While I do not support the weakening of gun control laws, I did not see the OP crying when many states no longer enforced the criminalization of weed.

In my opinion weed is harmful to everyone. I was in Walmart the other day and half the automated kiosks were broken because the working ones took cash only and most people do not carry cash. They few human cashiers they had left were busy trying to ring people out. When I was near checkout myself I was stuck behind a couple who were stoned silly and could barely function.

After 20 mins of waiting on their antics of changing their mind about buying, not buying, buying then not buying and constantly asking basic questions all while laughing I finally had to leave. Everyone behind me was furious.

Yeah, lets legalize weed nationwide. What could possibly go wrong?

They were probably drunk. People on tH3 w3eD are far more likely to be minding their own business enjoying a walk, doing some household chores, listening to music, chatting with friends etc and desperately hoping that nobody else talks to them.

Unless they make a bourbon that makes your clothes smell like green skunkweed 5 feet away, I would buy that.

Screw Walmart. The stopped selling hollow point 50 caliber ammunition with shark lasers because the sharks kept dying on the shelf.

pffft

My local Walmart had .22 CCI Minimags on the shelf on my lunch break today, I bought three 100 round boxes for 7.5 cents a round, almost normal price. They check your ID here in MN but make you go to a specific checkout lane with a cashier old enough to ring you out. I also bought cold/allergy medicine, which I also needed an ID for. I had to wait for a slow old lady cashier and a slow old lady with 100 items in a 15 item max checkout line, but it is what it is.

Why not both? I recall weed & wine being a nice mellow high...

They probably were bathing in a few of those disgusting ultra hoppy 11% ABV IPAs that taste and smell like weed that are so popular these days

Seriously though what you observed at Walmart was just a couple of assholes that would have been obnoxious no matter what. I live in a legal MJ state (since 2016) where it’s quite popular and have not even once experienced anything like that. Of course I also don’t shop at Walmart.

I wish, every damn IPA these days is harping on their citrus/mango/papaya/pineapple notes. I miss dank IPAs.

Not really, MJ and Ethanol have very different influences on the body and mind.
Not really, both effect people differently. There are people that both MH and Ethanol influence them the same, there are others, that it's differently. There are also people that ethanol effects them differently based on the type of ethanol.. IE beer vs hard alcohol. Tequila vs bourbon.. some people can be happy drunks on bourbon and mean drunks on tequila. I do have to admit though, I am not sure if I have ever met a mean stoner. LOL!

Look at all these pieces of trash smiling at the cameras. I truly feel for all evolved humans in Missouri, and wish them the wealth and means to escape a state so full of people that are just barely evolved more than a caveman. But to all the smiling dbags in the photo in the article, do the country a favor, AND FUCKING SECEDE. Take the rest of the damn deep south with you, and while you are at it, Florida, Texas and the Dakotas.

"Gov. Mike Parson signed legislation Saturday that invalidates federal gun laws in Missouri.
Missouri law enforcement officials no longer have to execute federal gun laws.
Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed a bill Saturday that declares all federal gun laws past, present and future must be invalid in the state. This includes taxing, tracking and registration of weapons.
The bill is called the “Second Amendment Preservation Act.”
He signed the bill in front of a large crowd inside Frontier Justice, a gun store and shooting range in Lee’s Summit.
Parson, a former sheriff, said the purpose of this legislation is to stand up to the federal government.
“We’re going to do things to make sure you don’t overreach your authority from the federal government,” he said, while seated at a desk in front of a large display of firearms."

After some deliberation, I will leave your thread title unedited, despite its inclusion of terms considered offensive by many, since they obviously reference word our former President used on the international stage. However, everyone here should be advised that we are a tech forum whose rules include the dictum of not including "profanity" in your thread title, and this title above does really cross that line.

Everyone, be so advised.

I definitely live in a sanctuary state and city.

I have often told people that I've met a lot of great people from Ohio. I came to realize one thing, however, after noticing that tons of stuff happening in Ohio is monstrous and concerning. Every one of those people from Ohio that I so admired had moved some 2000 miles away from the damned place.

Now, the former governor of OH, Kasich, is the only Republican I have heard of that isn't a climate change denier. However AFAIK his attitude was simply that it exists but he didn't think we can do anything about it. Bury the Republican Party before they bury us.

Dude, you're replying to a "small govt conservative" who wants everyone biometric'ed for "election security" and for all weed users to go to prison just because he associates them with having once been inconvenienced at the checkout.
No offense, just sayin he's either a troll or a lying POS.

Meh, it’s boring not to give him the benefit of the doubt, and he’s not as far gone as s0m3 people on this site despite all of the above.

And MJ has differences in effects by variety also, and it still is different than ethanol's affect on your body. The mechanics of the chemical are not the same in the body

That's a pretty stark difference though. You're unlikely to find someone enraged or angry simply because of MJ. It's not what it does. Ethanol OTOH, is known to do just that.

So are you retracting your previous statement that the only difference in intoxicated people is the smell?

the feds beg to differ

Then let the Feds police their laws directly, like they had to do with immigration laws.

No, I am no retracting my previous statement, as it was meant as humor.

But even if it wasn't meant at humor, there is no real difference between the two short of getting down to specific scientific details beyond the fact that they are both stimulant and depressants, which was by no means my intent to get scientific about it. Yes they effect the body differently, but so does different grades of MJ, or different types of alcohol. MJ does stay in the body longer. Just because I said I don't recall ever seeing a mean stoner (which was really more humor) does not change that fact. EVERY substance has a different effect on each person, and yes, MJ does also caused people to get irritable, angry, etc..

Anyhow, you are taking my comment much deeper and more technical than it was ever intended, as it was just a broad simplified response for the purpose of humor......

In short:
Why so serous? Laugh and move on! :D :D :D

Eh, he was doing the Clown Ring Leader routine before the other dipshit. Sometime back he tried to rehab his image by fessing up that he'd been lying about basically everything he'd posted on here and tried bragging about being a troll like anyone didn't know already. So anyone that takes any story he says should know he's just a lying sack of shit. If you think you'll ever have an actual honest discussion with him you're delusional.

Some of you really need to learn how to vet people that are worth talking to. Its not like he even puts much effort into his arguments, he just makes shit up and then doesn't even pretend to actually care about it really its just because he know you fools will waste time refuting it when he already knows its bullshit. The thing is, he does legit believe the general idea (i.e. liberals are the actually corrupt ones, etc), but evidence and facts have never mattered to him which is why he just says random stupid shit then pretends to argue when you people waste pages upon pages of threads refuting it. He's someone that got brainwashed into religion at a young age and decided that's all the further he'd develop intellectually, but its also obvious he doesn't even hold to those ideals as he's more focused on being greedy for himself than anything.

Hey man, the /s coulda saved ya some headache.

The WebMD article leaves something to be desired. I mean, 43 people? Lol, my lifetime anecdote of people is 10x higher probably.

I respond that way because decades upon decades of misinformation and lie fueled propaganda have formed popular stereotypes and opinion, and imxp it was very wrong.

Comparing MJ and alcohol is like comparing sunrise to a carrot cake.

I recall an underground comic from 50+ years ago with a panel saying that smoking pot and drinking alcohol concomitantly is like pissing into the wind.

I know, not the same thing, but on this subject WTH is?

As long as I've brought up the subject I may as well drop this: I haven't done it much but have observed that people who mix their drugs tend to be the ones who get into trouble with drugs.

I'm sorry, but the /s shouldn't have been needed if you weren't so serious and defensive about MJ. :D :D

It's an on going debate that has yet to be fully answered (medically) which is better/worse, what different effects they have on the body etc. because there are so many variables. Has nothing to do with stereotypes, fueled propaganda, or lies. Some of us actually speak from life experience with both substances, which I am guessing is the same for you, but with different experiences that fuel your need to make a distinction between alcohol and MJ, where with me.. not so much.

As for the WebMD article.. 43 people may not seem like much, but it was to point out that anger and such also happens with MJ. You also have to realize that alcohol use is substantially higher than MJ use due to the legality of it which makes getting a large sample size more difficult. as well as the perceptions of MJ vs alcohol. Because of the "perception" of MJ vs Alcohol, as more states legalize it, and finally when the federal government legalize it (it will happen), that will change and more people will partake in MJ use. But so will the "perception". Example, in states that have legalized it, MJ related accidents, deaths, etc have increased substantially, but prior to the legalization the "perception" of MJ was that it was "safer" and people don't cause accidents from smoking MJ etc. Which is getting proven untrue. It's really a debate that has no definitive answer either direction.

As more and more states legalize MJ, we will start to here people say "oh look, he's such a happy smoker/pothead/stoner", just like we have people say "oh look, he's such a happy drinker/drunk". :D :D
