The right is so far gone.

Hell when they sell someone a gun it should come with a joint. You are probably less likely to shoot someone stoned and chill than sober or when drinking.

Propaganda works, and it will take a couple generations to wear off. Best thing to do is ignore their stupidity and inexperience, and stay in the know. MJ is no worse (and arguably less "bad") than alcohol or tobacco. Doesn't even compare to meth, cocaine, opiates, mushrooms or LSD, the list goes on.

Some people just don't like it, but that doesn't change facts. Americans want it legalized nationally

While I do not support the weakening of gun control laws, I did not see the OP crying when many states no longer enforced the criminalization of weed.

In my opinion weed is harmful to everyone. I was in Walmart the other day and half the automated kiosks were broken because the working ones took cash only and most people do not carry cash. They few human cashiers they had left were busy trying to ring people out. When I was near checkout myself I was stuck behind a couple who were stoned silly and could barely function.

After 20 mins of waiting on their antics of changing their mind about buying, not buying, buying then not buying and constantly asking basic questions all while laughing I finally had to leave. Everyone behind me was furious.

Yeah, lets legalize weed nationwide. What could possibly go wrong?

You sure you weren't stuck behind a couple of Karens exercising, you know, their freedumb?

Realistically, his anecdote probably wasn't even MJ users, very unlikely.

When I've been a mess in public, it's almost always been alcohol. A couple times shrooms, but it's been 15 years since then.

Alcohol, by far, is the greater scourge on our society.

In my evidence-based opinion, you are a dipshit. This is not anecdotal.

All of MY supporting evidence is listed right here on these boards...in your uninformed, dishonest, and retarded comments.

Can you base an opinion on evidence, instead of personal anecdotes?

Didn't think so, dipshit.

You should be supporting this situation, that's just Walmart looking to maximize shareholder value by minimizing labor costs. Shame on you for taking money from those poor shareholders, you fucking commie!

You know it's a sad state of affairs when you see the thread title and check out the thread to see if it was your state. :p

I was like "Oh man, what has Texas done this time?" . I was thinking our governor may have outlawed being poor or sick because a simple thoughts and prayers could have fixed all that.

Since the constitution is federal, and it is what gives them their rights to have those guns, and in itself is the law of the land. Which is what empowers those federal laws. Doesn't that mean he just invalidated the constitution in that state? Which means he just took every citizens rights to bare arms away.

Of course, he doesn't realize that the only way any federal law can be invalidated is either the SCOTUS declares it nationally, or his state leaves the Union.

I suspect that the New Confederacy would have Selective Gun Rights. Very similar to their ideas on Voting Rights.

You think that was a right wing thing? By definition that is the very opposite of being a conservative, which is preserving the status quo. The slave freers were by definition progressives. Also, look at the electoral map TODAY, he biggest Republican strongholds are well, gasp, in the slave owning states that fought the freeing of the slaves. Your parties base are the racists! And the GQP base waves the Confederate flag, the flag of slavery.

My god you people are so fucking dumb. But I see morons like you on social media all the time. They really think they are the party of freeing the slaves while they are part of the party whose base fucking loves the Confedrecy. It's so insane that it's scary.

Social conservatives ran the Democratic Party in the 1800s, and created the Confederacy after losing the Presidential election of 1860, in order to protect the institution of slavery.

Social conservatives run the current Republican Party. They supported the attempted coup against the government after losing the Presidential election of 2020.

The more things change...

They know they're lying when they pretend to be the party of Lincoln while waving the confederate flag. The larger issue is that they don't care they're lying.

What? There is no suspecting anything. This has already taken place. The governor has already singed into law, a law that invalidates federal laws where gun rights are concerned. Which means if it was legal (it's not) he also invalidates the law of the land (the constitution) which is what gives them any authority at the state level to enact any laws concerning guns, unless they secede from the union, which they can't do without congressional approval. In other words, by enacting this law that invalidates ALL federal laws on gun rights, they just invalidated their own state constitution's amendment(s) pertaining to gun rights, because the federal constitution is what gives their constitution any authority or power, and you can't have the authority or power to do something that you just made invalid. Which means if this law was legal, that nobody in that state has any gun rights at all because they just invalidated everything that gives them those rights. It's not similar to voting rights, as the voting laws they pass are within their powers granted by the constitution already and they are not trying to invalidate those rights or authority. IF they are the "New Confederacy" then we would be in another civil war.

How did you know they were stoned and not drunk?

What’s the difference between being “stoned silly” and being “drunk as Cooter Brown?”

I was just amused by how he supports locking up millions of people just because 2 random people inconvenienced him at the Walmart. That's "small govt conservatism" in a nutshell right there.

On that note, here's a fun read on the real reason why open carry is illegal in CA (spoiler alert: liberals didn't do it, despite the frequent accusations).

It's amazing. The party of there is no racism, learning about racism is bad, and confederate flag waving racists, think they are the same people that freed the slaves.

These people are straight up evil delusional sociopaths. They are the core type of people that do the horrific shit many countries have perpetrated in history
To be so cognitively dissonant is psychotic.

Yes, they also like to focus on the socialism part of National Socialism while ignoring the crucial nationalist part.
You're overthinking this though. These people aren't psychopathic, per se, they're just incompetent and lazy, and terrified that people will find that out. They don't know anything about politics or economics, and they can't be bothered to actually study and learn anything about these subjects (that's for liberal elitists!), so they abdicate their thinking to a groupthink that tells them that their self-serving "common sense" and intuition are always right, and that anyone who dares point out that they might be wrong is the enemy.
And so voila! the confederate flag is heritage and the modern-day GOP is still the party of Lincoln, both at the same time. Because believing that is convenient and self-serving, and anyone who points out the obvious disconnect is a commie liberal elite who hates freedom, because bizarre over-the-top attacks like that are the laziest way to silence criticism.
And like all lazy and incompetent people, they're compulsive liars, because truth and knowledge and critical thinking (especially self-critical thinking) are hard work.
