start waxing your face
waxing = less hair each time
eventually you won't grow hair on your face at all!

((or, have laser hair removal?))

That just means your face hasn't gotten used to it. Call us when you have to shave every other day.

I have to shave every day, and I get what he's saying.

It's not that it flat out hurts, but (atleast for some people) it sure doesn't just glide easily cutting the hair.

In that case, you're shaving in the wrong direction. Short of you having tree-trunk sized whiskers or not using a proper shaving cream/gel, it shouldn't hurt one bit.

Yeah, but then you're screwed if you're trying to evade Government agencies :Q

I shave after a hot shower and on days I'm shaving, I lather my face with conditioner and rinse out after about 15 seconds. Makes it softer and shaving is no longer a problem.

Other tips:

Use a face cleanser with Glycerin - it will make your skin softer, smoother, with better self-lubricating properties.

Use a (properly maintained) straight razor. Sure it'll take you (what feels like) two hours a day to shave and care for your blade, but you won't get a closer, more comfortable shave.

And some people just have particularly sensitive skin, you may not ever be able to get a routine comfortable shave every day. If so, either shave with the growth (not as close, but a lot less irritation) or shave every other day. I can't get a clean-shaven look shaving with the growth, so I go against it every other day immediately after taking the hottest shower I can stand. M3 Power, Edge gel for sensitive skin (going to try king of shaves next time out), Noxema Triple Clean face wash in the shower - no irritation, and a blade usually lasts for 3 shaves (almost a week)...

What a pvssy. I have pretty thick facial hair and I shave every other day.

Today I realized I didn't even have any shaving cream before I went to class so I just straight up shaved with warm water.

Now thats painful.

I have to wait that 3 day period too, or else it hurts (my face). My routine is: take a hot shower, lather up my face and head, shave against the grain, then rinse of in a cold shower.

go get laser hair removal and never have to shave again.

on a side note i have thought about getting laser hair removal for the back of my neck. you know that place on each side that grows back so much faster than your head. my wife has to shave that atleast two times between my 6 week hair cut.

Dab some 100% Concentrated sulfuric acid on that pretty face of yours, just watch the hair fall off!!! No more shaving, period.

I'm not promoting using sulfuric acid as a substitute for shaving your face. If you decide to do so, there is something seriously wrong with you and you need to seek help immediately, for you and your pretty little face.

My facial hair is so coarse, I can hang the razor off of it. Shaving is not a pleasant experience.

I had the same problem, a mach 3 blade was not sharp enough to cut my beard cleanly, and often was dull before I finished. You need a really sharp razor that is capable of holding it's edge. That means strait razor.

Next time use standard hand soap. There really is not much diffrence between shaving cream and hand soap.
