I love the Shark Tank. Such an awesome show. I liked how they followed up with the BBQ guys this past week - getting in Costco was good for them.

it's not what you know.
it's who you know.

thats what their money got them... it got them names.

Anyone know if anymore episodes will be running? It came back for one episode (the one with the Grease Monkey) but I don't see any new ones after that.

This show has jumped the shark (hehe). It was pretty interesting season 1, but now they are really stretching it out with lots of lame/outrageous pitches that are horrible. Rarely do they invest.

(This is mostly speaking to Dragons Den but there are the same show for the most part)

God, that ice cream franchise and the legal coffee shop were horrible.

No doubt. The woman from the coffee shop made my head explode.

The lipstick remix on the other hand was one of the best and most prepared presentations/presenters I've seen. She had a simple but excellent product, her presentation was fantastic, answered questions perfectly, and she had 3 sharks salivating for a piece, particularly infomercial-Kevin who rarely does anything. Her buy-in price split 3 ways was extremely affordable as well ($135k total?)

She'll make a lot of money...Kevin putting it on tv and Daymond putting in on shelves, and Barbara involved to offer her connections and a woman's perspective.

Finally saw the first episode of what I believe is from Season 2. I love Dragon's Den, and have to say Shark Tank feels a lot more "manufactured". The former just as a very casual open studio concept, and the hosts (2 of them are in Shark Tank)feel more comfortable.

I wish people would talk less about how good Dragon's Den is and more about how people in the US can watch it. 😉

2 guys from dragon's den are actually in this show as well. I'm guessing because DD was a huge success that they brought it to the states.

Kevin O'Leary is a lot nicer in Shark Tank, he's an absolute prick and talks a lot more (or they don't edit it out as much) on Dragons Den. Robert Herj.... (sp?) is less professional looking. The entire group including Brett, Arlene and the Boston Pizza guy have a lot more chemistry too. Might be cause they've been doing it for 3 year together.

Kevin's not "mean" per say... he's just focused solely on the dollars and cents and tells it like it is. If you like him, you can catch him weekdays on "The Lang and O'Leary Exchange", with the lovely Amanda Lang, on CBC NewsWorld at 1630 EST.

Watching the first episode right now - eh. It's an overly Americanised version of Dragons' Den. They're ridiculously ruthless just for the hell of it.
