Saw an episode of Dragen's Den and IMO its much better. It lets you into the minds of the investors much better than Shark Tank does.

Would love to see that show then. This does a great job at seeing inside the vc's, not so much the entrepreneurs.

I'm enjoying this show

The most recent one with that former investment banker trying to raise capital for the college athlete recruiting system was interesting
I liked how he pulls out a calculator from his back pocket like a true finance guy

The Turbo Baster woman made a huge mistake. Huge!
IMO the best deals are ones where they offer X% royalty on gross sales to perpetuity.
Yeah, but the royalties are super low. Like with the musician guy, 5%!? C'mon!

I think that was 5% of revenue, not net income, so it's not TOO bad. Plus i think he still had equity, right?

If I had an awesome invention, I'd go on there just to rub it in the sharks' faces. The billionaire Kevin guy is super annoying.

Kevin is my favorite. I absolute love to hate him! He's like a comic book villain. 😀

Its been a few weeks since seeing that episode, but yes, it was 5% of sales. I don't remember if he got equity or not.

Robert is my favorite because I like his style and the way he carries himself a lot. Kevin is second on my list. He's a character

I think those guys were the most prepared and quick thinking I've seen. You've got to be able to roll with what they throw at you and they definitely did that.

I don't want to give it all away, but they walked out with 4x what they asked for, valued their company >$1m when it hasn't even seen profits >$100k, and got both Kevin and Robert as partners. :Q

But these guys love to invest in people as much as ideas, and the two entrepreneurs were extremely impressive imo.

I thought these royalties were off income, so revenues is certainly much better.

Kevin and Robert seem the most savvy, but anyone notice the 'success stories' are always Barbara's? 😀

I wish they would followup with more people

It'd be cool to see the ones that a) had an accepted offer that failed and b) the ones that didn't have an accepted offer that succeeded

I love the Shark Tank. Such an awesome show. I liked how they followed up with the BBQ guys this past week - getting in Costco was good for them.

So after letting this build up in my Hulu queue for a few weeks I finally watched it for the first time and WOW, I love this show. Despite the fact that half the season had expired on Hulu, I watched Weeks 7, 8, 9 and the Finale back to back. Robert seemed to move from nice guy to Kevin part 2 very suddenly but man, great show. Making me think quite a bit about my own ideas.
