Shameless ripoff: How many ATers in So. Cal.?

I don't know about anybody else, but while perusing the forums here at AT I sometimes wonder what region, local, or part of the world posters are from. Hence, this thread.

I've figured out quite a few Californians from posts in various forums: example, "I can pick up my parts at mwave Will Call". "I just scored a MAG 19" monitor for $xxx at Best Buy in West Covina."

Just curious how many ATers are in Calif. or, in particular, So. Calif.

Another shameless BUMP for California.

I do work in Santa Barbara on occasion. Isn't that main drag called State St.? All kinds of boutiques and restaurants?

Did a job for the Post Office a couple of blocks over about 6 months ago.

I prefer living a little to the east. The congestion and density is a bit less. BTW, the 10 blows almost any time of the day or night around there. OTOH, if you have the money you are closer to the Forum and other entertainment.

Visalia, CA, born and raised (proud of it, no). I go down to SoCal all the time, La Verne, W. Covina, OceanSide, other places too...

There aren't too many places where you can go surfing at 5:30am, take your dirt bike out to the desert by noon and go night skiing at Mountain High at 7:00pm.

Not that I do all that. I am bound by the responsibilities of a family man. You know wife, bills, computer components, bills, kids, computer components, bills and there is always something I need in Hot Deals!

angrymaxx, my wife's cousin, Prof. Louie, is a professor of microbiology at UCI. He has a pony tail and can usually be seen riding his motorcycle on one wheel. Ever meet him?

In fact, right now you could probably take your dirt bike to Moutain High and do both biking and "skiing".. Gawd the snowfall has been horrible this season.

HeeeHeeeHaaww. Good point arcain. For most of the last week it was warm enough to turn on the AC, if I had AC. On the other hand, ain't it great to run around in a T-shirt and shorts in February?

No dont come here no Californians, it sux hard here. The only reason we stay is cause they force us to.( 😉 to the SoCal people)

OOh. You're right, Bobomatic. Life is not all good in CA. You have to carry heat because of the drive by's. And don't forget the earthquakes that destroy entire cities. And "It Never Rains in California", it only floods. And the streets have potholes big enough to swallow a Humvee. I forgot to mention the rat infestation we get every winter and the hordes of yellow jackets and hornets that invade in the summer. And, last but not least, the ever present danger of the California desert tortoise. They swarm to the cities by the tens of thousands at unpredictable times.

ROFLMAO, Goober. That's kinda like the pot calling the kettle black.

Yeah, we have our queers. Laguna Beach is one of their strongholds, along with Long Beach and San Francisco. I'm sure there are many more, but I don't make a point on keeping up on such things.
